When you are screwing 2 pieces of wood together ALWAYS screw through THIN into THICK. So in this case screw through the sheeting INTO the frame supports. The frame has more thickness for the sharp end of the screw to bite into and the head of the screw holds the thin sheeting tightly. I might also suggest you cut holes in the sheeting to represent the broken plaster and add the slats to the back of the sheeting. It keeps you from all that work of coving the WHOLE panel with slatting for only a few holes. You can also back light the slats for a spooky effect.

Cool! Just make sure to secure it so they don't fall on you. I attached to actual wall with a couple of screws at top with a wire loop on faux walls. Put loop over screws heads and they hold both together.

these look great! your so motivated! Im so lazy I airbrushed most of the shadows and depth and all the underneath texture! and I totally use the torn paper stencil thing to make it fast. yours are way more interesting up close! well done Keep up with your HOUSEKREEPING!

These are meant for covered/protected from weather areas. They have lots of paper elements. If people are touching them they might not last. They are meant more for a background component of a room. They are also great for photo-shoots.

Just be aware you're gluing the sheet cardboard to the painted lathe, so you're only gluing to the paint. Hopefully it'll stay stuck long enough to get thru the season.

When completed, how much would you say it costs to make one panel like that?

Since wood is pricey these days and it's just being covered with a bunch of cardboard and paper, I'd make a study frame and use cardboard on cardboard ensuring there's studs in places for any heavy hanging items.
