- This is a DIY and How To video for building a "squishy bridge" or a "moving floor" project for your Halloween home haunt or haunted attraction. I'm going to try to go as "step by step" as I possibly can. Can't wait for Halloween 2021! Enjoy the video and leave comments with any questions you have. Thanks for watching!

Just found your channel, that bridge/platform is awesome.. I started doing home haunts 3 years ago, ty for sharing.. I'm always trying to get new ideas to make the following year better..
Thanks for watching!
This is great. I am gonna buy new fence boards and replace some of the old ones on my fence then use the old ones for this. New fence and cool prop. Two wins.
What are your thoughts on bringing it down to 2” wide boards. Safety? Sponginess? More fun?
I can really only speak for what ive tried.
That does look easy!
Its a simple and yet super fun and effective project! Thank you or watching!
Awesome! Will be doing this
Just found u but love this. Gonna do this for my swamp theme next year so thx😊
Really cool effect and super simple love ideas like this
I’ve been working on this same project for my own haunt, can’t wait to see yours.
Haha! Great minds think alike! I was shocked at how well this turned out to be honest. Hope you guys like it!
Love it, turned out awesome.
Thanks brother. I had my doubts. LOL
That is a cool effect. Good job.
So glad you like it! Thank you for watching!
Very cool! Might have to make one of these for next years haunt!
Thanks bro!
Great job! I'm curious how this worked in reality with visitors. #1 Did anyone seem to trip or stumble? was wondering if you'd add railings of some kind. #2 Did kids stand on it and try to "trampoline" on it , did that cause issues? #3 i see a lot of groups of 3-4 people walking through my haunt together. does the weight of multiple people on it at once negate some of the squishy effects? thanks! just curious of any observations or lessons learned after having real trick or treaters on it.
Actually none of those things were an issue. We run an actual pro haunt now and I have 2 of these in my swamp area. We allow groups up to 6 at a time. Everyone gets a huge kick out of it. I totally recommend the swamp laser kit to complete the effect.
You know, you could just make your own out of pallet wood. That's what I'm doing this year.
Turned out pretty sweet brother 😊
Thank you to the Leonardo of Halloween! Haha
you think a wheelhair would make it over that?
Very easily actually. The Chill Factor Haunted Attraction is completely ADA compliant.
Would pool noodles work instead of sponges
I'll probably say no. They won't give like sponges will. These sponges will completely flatten.
What did you use to cut the end sponges?
Exacto knife. Thanks so much for watching!
Can you explain your rope pattern? I've seen on other versions of this where the rope passes over the board, goes down into the hole and then back up through the next board's hole (as opposed to up between the boards and back down into the hole). Are you using that to also make the rope a spacer between the boards?
ruclips.net/video/KUTk-PF7E5Y/видео.html&ab_channel=FrightProps is an example of the other weave I mentioned.
Really its a trial and error kinda thing. Whatever works best for your FX.
Question
Can I use foamboard with the sponges with the twine just for a small haunted house
I cant speak for any other methods. only what ive tried.
Where did you get the sponge/foam? Or what is it called when I search online?

could you make this out of the wood from store pallets? If so, I'm pretty sure some stores are willing to give you pallets for free.
True story: When I first started building my home haunt I tried using wooden pallets for lumber. I thought it would be cost efficient. IT WAS NOT! LOL Have you ever tried to take a pallet apart? Its tough. It wasnt worth the time or the physical effort. Your case may be different. Although, from my experience, NO. Guess it depends how well they are put together. LOL
@@chillfactorhaunt just grab an electric saw zaw and go to town! took me a few hours to break down a couple pallets for my bridge I'm making for my pirates of the Caribbean haunt this year!
I keep trying to pause vid to see how you ran the ropes. Could you tell me the pattern or take a picture for me? I appreciate it.
Try around 5:19. If you still can't see it good enough, email me at chillfactorhaunt@gmail.com and I will help you out!
@@chillfactorhaunt I figured it out and surprised my son with it. He loved it. We have it set up for the kids today for our annual halloween party.
@@scubajosh7170 That's so awesome! I'm glad the video brought folks some joy! Thank you for watching!
Could you use bed slats instead? 🎃🎃🎃
I suppose so.
Hi just wondering did you have any issue of anybody tripping on it when you start going on it
if you pull the rope tight enough you will have no issues.
Ok what I mean is from the time they step on it theirs a lip on first step if that make sense cheers regards Greg
I'm sorry, but it keeps saying address is not found. Is there another way I could send you my drawing??
just copy and past this chillfactorhaunt@gmail.com
what type of glue did you use?
Hot glue.
How many boards made up your 9 foot bridge?
10 of the 8ft fence boards cut in half. Making 20 4ft boards. Thank you so much for watching.
I'll bet you can pause the video and count them.
