You can. I thought I couldn't draw, and I still can't, but that's with pencil. It does take a little practice, but the first picture I ever drew with oil pastel, I really surprised myself. And know after like a year, I'm better at it. Just takes a bit of practice. That's coming from someone who really wanted to make art, but couldn't draw or find my medium until I discovered oil pastels.
