The weirder they are the more I like them hahahahaha. My sister had the heart chest Barbie one and we used her as a robot. It was actually quite fun, We pretended we were in a futuristic era and robots were a thing to have around and she was really strong and had weapons and she was quite fun to play and we did this robotic voice for her. And you had to change her batteries because she is a robot and we did that opening her chest area hahahahaha. Her name was Maria, because that's the name of an anime character that was also a robot. And she also had this Teresa doll that had like a purple plastic skirt tutu thing with lip balm jewels attached and you couldn't entirely remove the plastic skirt so she was also a robot. I don't know , it all depends on the kids imagination. And I wanted one of those paint the faces doll so bad! I thought it was super cool to be able to give her different faces because I liked to draw and being able to "animate" her like in a movie, that was a dream of mine. A cousin had the pregnant Barbie and we played normally with her. You know when we wanted a doll to have a baby we switched to that doll and we had our baby like that hahahaha and one day we even played the alien scene ones for our futuristic sets. Oh, so many memories. The least one I liked was the dog faced one but I bet If I had had it as kid I would have loved her hahahaha, there was this cartoon called dog city and the show was about dog people and I digged it and I bet if I had that doll I would have played chapters of that cartoon. Another cousin (large family) had the Barbie that closed her eyes with hot or cold water for sleep time or something like that and it was cool unitl her temperature mechanism stopped working and she forever stood with dead white eyes staring at you! We used her as the blind uhm vegetative relative or like a ghost one.. Love your videos!!!! Love your channel, too bad I found it when youtube is doing weird stuff but still gonna follow you in other places and love your haircut! It reminds me of the one of an actor whose name I can't recall. Keep collecting for the ones who can only watch!!!!!

I personally find LOL dolls (the normal ones, not the adult versions, those are a bit odd looking too though) REALLY creepy personally. The fact that they're babies/toddlers with HEAVY makeup, oftentimes wearing skimpy outfits (such as the one I saw the other day wearing ripped up fishnets and a slightly oversized t shirt, or in some cases what looks like nothing but a bra and panties) in these weird model-esk poses just really makes me uncomfortable. I saw one that had fishnet stockings and 50s style hair, obviously trying to look like a pinup girl. Not to mention I've seen the pictures of the anatomically correct boy versions (actual dolls that were actually sold to little kids, probably most of them girls) and am not amused.

Also dont think the boys having penises is a bad thing. It's a body. Most boys have penises it's not shameful or sexualizing inherently.

I have the midge doll, my grandmother was a huge collector of barbies but gave them all to me when she was forced to move. Midge was one of these dolls. Since she's kinda old her box is a tad bit frayed at the ends but the doll itself is in mint condition

I love watching your videos as a 20 year old girl, I love finding out dolls from different generations such as the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s & early noughties. I had the midge happy family doll as a kid and realizing now how weird that doll was.
I love that if you take each of these and put them together you get Monster High...and they still managed to make us love it😂 The first had the same Eye mechanisms as the Inner Monsters, then we also had Cat characters even though some characters had cat pets (like clawdeen’s cat) (or even Rochelle being a gargoyle and Clawd’s pet being a gargoyle 😂) We had dolls with blank Faces with Both the design Lab and its Add on packs, and then later with the Monster Maker, we had changing Facial expressions with The inner Monsters, which were just changing faceplates but they also kind of looked wrong, and The secret inside a doll feature with the secret Creepers ( though that was more so with the pets but still😂) Granted...we didn’t get any pregnant doll, since they are teenagers, or a doll with extra long legs, all though we did get a couple with extra limbs if that compares...basically monster high takes everything that makes other dolls weird and turns it into one of the most successful doll lines to date😂😂😂

As far as the pregnant barbies go, later they improved on them. If you detached the "pregnant belly", it revealed the baby inside, held in place by the flipped "flat belly" and when you took the baby out, the "flat belly" clicked in place. I found those strange too. (Sorry if my explanation is messy.)
Look at the monster High Dolls; “Iris Clops” “Perri and Pearl serpentine” (Also came as a styling head) also the “Goo goo Galaxy Dolls” and the “Novi stars Dolls”. Or how about “once upon a zombie” Dolls

I'm 35. Omg! I remember that "locket" barbie. You could put lip gloss or a ken pic. I think one of my cousins had it. And about the pregnant barbie, there was one when I was little, it had no magnets, it was a clic belly and the "flat" belly was like a "door" that opened and closed with the baby inside, my cousin had it and she was really weird...
I think that theirs a HUGE difference between doll collectors and children who play with dolls. My grandmother collected Barbie's and had many dolls made for adults by their mere design and I collect porcelain dolls. And porcelain dolls aren't for children considering how easy it is to break them. Neither of these types of dolls are for kids.
Pinky cooper is one of my favourite doll lines. I hated dolls as a kid cause anything human like unsettled me and pinky cooper was the perfect solution. She wasn’t human but I could do everything that you could do with a normal doll. Her inset eyes were also beautiful
Lololololol!!! Hilarious! I agree with you on all the dolls you featured in this film. They were, indeed weird! I still am open mouthed about the one with ridiculously long legs. All these years Barbie has been criticized for unrealistic body proportions and that doll takes it to a new level, high or low, I'm not sure. All the rest, especially the first you mentioned, the one with the big head and could change her eye color was actually very cute. I want those. She is also a sort of replay of a 70s doll called Blythe, which became a huge success as a vintage collectible doll and reproduced in so many variations. I love weird dolls, just for the novelty and maybe you could do more films on dolls like Saucy by Mattel from the 1970s. She was a baby doll with an arm you turned and she'd change her face, kind of like the my scene Barbie with changing face you showed here. Also Growing up Skipper, 1975. Barbie's little sister was engineered to have a body that goes from young girl to teenager by, once again, turning her arm. She even grew very small breasts as she got taller. Baby Alive, kenner toy's, 1974-75 a battery operated doll that could "chew" or masticate her food and poop her diaper. Very weird, mainly because you pushed her nose to start the "chewing" action which was very obvious since you could hear the motor mechanism grinding in her face-head. Again, weird.....lol. The big headed doll you are thinking of is Blythe. She held on to popularity for years with some collectors. Then tried a large come back a few years ago that was successful in Japan. In recent years, Blythe released a doll of just about every Sailor Moon character.
One weird doll line I can think of was The Lalaloopsy dolls. They looked like Katy Perry and The Other Mother from Coraline teamed up to make a doll line. Also I remember being slightly disturbed by the What's Her Face dolls every time I saw the commercial for them on TV growing up.

I believe the first dolls you showed are inspired by Blythe dolls. Which are big headed fashion dolls from Japan. They have a button or a string I can’t remember in the back of their heads, abs it changes the color of their eyes. There’s like 3 different colors it can cycle through.
The what’s her face dolls really threw me back 😂 I would use the stamps and I would get so mad because I couldn’t get the eyes even like they did in the commercials!
As far as creepy doll lines go i hate those poopsie surprise unicorn dolls theyre so gross in so many ways also not a fan of how popular poop is among children's toys right now😰
Little Miss Mermaid gave me nightmares as a kid. Also, for an intentionally creepy, but really interesting/weird doll line, Little Apple might be up your alley. The dolls are ghost children that come with story books about their lives before they died. I have Mirari, and her story is sad.
Monster high inner monster dolls. If they didn't have a wig on you could see their brains, which you pressed to change their eyes (sometimes these get stuck halfway like the one you described) They also had little charms you could put inside them that attached the their skeleton and then the casing for this was see through so you would always see their skeleton. They also had face masks with different expressions on them but they were all a bit creepy and over the top and if you didn't use one then they faces were expressionless which was also a little creepy. They sort of get away with not being creepy by being part of monster high but they have a lot of similarities to dolls you talked about.
I don’t get the backlash I think Mattel’s pregnant doll was smart with the magnetic “shell” belly. I remember other dolls having a hole in their stomach which I didn’t like as much.

As far as the pregnant barbies go, later they improved on them. If you detached the "pregnant belly", it revealed the baby inside, held in place by the flipped "flat belly" and when you took the baby out, the "flat belly" clicked in place. I found those strange too. (Sorry if my explanation is messy.)
Look at the monster High Dolls; “Iris Clops” “Perri and Pearl serpentine” (Also came as a styling head) also the “Goo goo Galaxy Dolls” and the “Novi stars Dolls”. Or how about “once upon a zombie” Dolls

I'm 35. Omg! I remember that "locket" barbie. You could put lip gloss or a ken pic. I think one of my cousins had it. And about the pregnant barbie, there was one when I was little, it had no magnets, it was a clic belly and the "flat" belly was like a "door" that opened and closed with the baby inside, my cousin had it and she was really weird...

I think that theirs a HUGE difference between doll collectors and children who play with dolls. My grandmother collected Barbie's and had many dolls made for adults by their mere design and I collect porcelain dolls. And porcelain dolls aren't for children considering how easy it is to break them. Neither of these types of dolls are for kids.

Pinky cooper is one of my favourite doll lines. I hated dolls as a kid cause anything human like unsettled me and pinky cooper was the perfect solution. She wasn’t human but I could do everything that you could do with a normal doll. Her inset eyes were also beautiful

I still am open mouthed about the one with ridiculously long legs. All these years Barbie has been criticized for unrealistic body proportions and that doll takes it to a new level, high or low, I'm not sure.
All the rest, especially the first you mentioned, the one with the big head and could change her eye color was actually very cute. I want those. She is also a sort of replay of a 70s doll called Blythe, which became a huge success as a vintage collectible doll and reproduced in so many variations.
I love weird dolls, just for the novelty and maybe you could do more films on dolls like Saucy by Mattel from the 1970s. She was a baby doll with an arm you turned and she'd change her face, kind of like the my scene Barbie with changing face you showed here.
Also Growing up Skipper, 1975. Barbie's little sister was engineered to have a body that goes from young girl to teenager by, once again, turning her arm.
She even grew very small breasts as she got taller.
Baby Alive, kenner toy's, 1974-75 a battery operated doll that could "chew" or masticate her food and poop her diaper. Very weird, mainly because you pushed her nose to start the "chewing" action which was very obvious since you could hear the motor mechanism grinding in her face-head. Again, weird.....lol.

The big headed doll you are thinking of is Blythe. She held on to popularity for years with some collectors. Then tried a large come back a few years ago that was successful in Japan. In recent years, Blythe released a doll of just about every Sailor Moon character.

One weird doll line I can think of was The Lalaloopsy dolls. They looked like Katy Perry and The Other Mother from Coraline teamed up to make a doll line. Also I remember being slightly disturbed by the What's Her Face dolls every time I saw the commercial for them on TV growing up.

I have always been super freaked out by cabbage patch dolls. Even as a kid I hated them, something about their faces that was just creepy to me.
Absolutely adorable, I laughed so hard, but liked the animal dolls can't wait to get them.

I believe the first dolls you showed are inspired by Blythe dolls. Which are big headed fashion dolls from Japan. They have a button or a string I can’t remember in the back of their heads, abs it changes the color of their eyes. There’s like 3 different colors it can cycle through.
I have some of these dolls and I love them and to me their not weird especially the my scene fab faces !

Little Miss Mermaid gave me nightmares as a kid. Also, for an intentionally creepy, but really interesting/weird doll line, Little Apple might be up your alley. The dolls are ghost children that come with story books about their lives before they died. I have Mirari, and her story is sad.

Monster high inner monster dolls. If they didn't have a wig on you could see their brains, which you pressed to change their eyes (sometimes these get stuck halfway like the one you described) They also had little charms you could put inside them that attached the their skeleton and then the casing for this was see through so you would always see their skeleton. They also had face masks with different expressions on them but they were all a bit creepy and over the top and if you didn't use one then they faces were expressionless which was also a little creepy. They sort of get away with not being creepy by being part of monster high but they have a lot of similarities to dolls you talked about.

I don’t get the backlash I think Mattel’s pregnant doll was smart with the magnetic “shell” belly. I remember other dolls having a hole in their stomach which I didn’t like as much.
