FF14 was a golden era. My biggest dream is that one day he will play it again.

You gotta love how heavily Asmon is blushing during the part with Y'shtola talking about his mount collection and lifestyle choices.
Asmon doing FF14 was the best content, so many memorable moments. Honestly still hoping he'll actually go back someday just for all the shenanigans again, and for him to reach to the good trials/raids where they really popped off with the bosses and their mechanics, and see him clear those.
He had 150k+ views every single day. That says something

It really felt like the whole wow fan base hated ff14 more than anything

I think another reason why FFXIV fans can be more supportive is because a lot of FFXIV fans also play other games, and are therefore more ok with people playing things other than FF all the time. Unlike some Wow players who just play Wow and *maybe* LoL. I know that's not the case for everyone obviously, but I think that helps show why some Wow fans have such an issue with people playing other things. Its the only game they have.

I finished the ff story and haven’t gone back since start of endwalker just play WoW but I find FF far more enjoyable to watch with Asmongold at least
Asmon can comeback whenever he wants, but ill be lying if i said i dont miss him on Eorzea
I discovered asmon from his rating pc set ups videos on RUclips like maybe 3 years ago and them became a fan once he started playing xiv. I'm not a wow person so I didn't know he existed until 3 years ago.
Maybe the graphics update will temp him, probably not but Asmon is good at giving hope.

I started FFXIV like a week before Asmon started because of his announcement that he will play it.
Now i'm at over 3300 hours with a wonderful static i raid with and couldn't be more thankful that you decided to give it a shot regardless of having finished the MSQ or not!
It'd be so cool to see him go back. So sad stupid people ruined his experience.
I never understood anyone who follows streamers in-game. Killing their mobs or just standing there as they do quests, etc.
@LegitNapkins afaik it was the stream harassment he was experiencing over him not playing the msq at the pace they wanted, instead of just letting him enjoy it his way. The parts you mentioned were absolutely annoying, but people bitching at him over msq was probably what actually killed his interest for so long.
@@demonlordoftheroundtable2456 I don't remember that? What i remember was people complaining because asmon refused to learn how to play and in the end kept completely relying on his party members to complete trials. Which, tbh, is what he does in most games he plays...

I just finished rewatching Asmon ff14 playthrough & to see this after really made my day. It honestly was so much fun having him in the community, i get the feeling we prob wont see him in 14 again but we got so much good content from it its okie if he doesnt. He should do wat he wants & i will continue to support him with whatever he does.

It was a perfect storm of events. No one would touch WoW and games weren't releasing shit because covid. We watched asmon ride that chocobo to last place, and it was all love.
I finished the msq...asmon could do that at the very least.

Asmongold's adventures in Eorzea were a good time, and I'm glad he introduced me to the game. 14 is the first MMO I was able to actually get into, found a great community, became an avid raider, and I now have 3000+ hours in the game. His content literally introduced me to one of my top 10 games of all time.
I've accepted he'll likely never play the game again, and even if he did the moment has passed and it wouldn't be the same at all - but man it was a good time, and I'm glad he gave that shitty weeb game a chance.
When he returns the gold saucer should have a special event. "The Return of the King" all gill earned 50% increase.

He will never return to this game because he detested it but the views were insane on it,once the viewers started to drop he was done with the game.
@@comancostin4623 got nothing to do with views. He just doesn't like the game is all. He played the first two expansions and just wasn't sold on it. If he cared about views at all he wouldn't bother with half the games he plays, like Revenant

Hope asmon finds the time to come back and play the game sometime. It doesn't even have to be some ceremonious big announcement return to eorzea, he should just play the game in 3-4 hour segments on zackrawr every now and then until he gets to a point in the story where he gets hooked again (because early stormblood is a SLOG, even I quit partially through, exactly where he stopped).
Pint streams 3 hours every week or two of MSQ and people love it. No need for some grand commitment, it's a video game.

I watched Asmon play FF14 and felt confident to try another MMO (none previously had stuck with me). 2300+ hours later, I can say, "THANK YOU ASMON! You trying it out helped me see how easy the early game is and gave me confidence to try it myself. I always watched your reaction content... and even if you never finish MSQ, I'll be here for the good times. If you ever wanna return to Eorzea, we'll be here! :)"

if you ever go back, do it because you wanna play and try your best to ignore anyone who tries to tell you how to play, I think the best take from that scene was just "at least he's having fun, right?" and that shuold always be the goal

The FF14 streams were a blast. I was out of work injured for 2 years and these few months were definitely fun. Loved the Golden Saucer events among all the other content the game provided. It also helped me branch out and watch other content creators. I never really used Twitch as a means of entertainment besides RUclips. Awesome stuff 👍
I go back and rewatch his playthroughs. Hopefully he will be able to play the game in the future without being harassed.
He deserves to play it just the way he wants it without thousands of backseat andy's and mods tbh. telling him what to do.

Literally, why I started playing FF14.
He sold me the FFXIV, and I thought, why not? So let's try it, and currently, I have 3200 hours of playtime. Met some of the nicest people and great friends and even attended their in-game and real-life weddings! I would never get past the ARR if I tried it before seeing Asmon. He's making games and events more enjoyable, for sure.
