    You MUST lube the o-ring (at 9:00 min)with oil is best. First time I did with WD40, perhaps not enough, and the O-ring crimped and failed after startup ran for 10 mins. Had to tear it all down again, go fetch another o-ring and it was a success with oil.

      He shoulda used lithium grease honestly, wd is worst option , oil is second best option

    Was that the original wp? Mine has that same yellow front. Or does that mean it's time to change it.

    Any idea how many miles this Ford Explorer has on it at the time of replacement? Just trying to get an idea as to when thus will need to be done.

    hi, would you be able to tell me if the fan clutch is reverse roation or normal?

    • @2carpros
      @2carpros  4 года назад

      Just look at which way the fan blades are orientated to see which way it turns. I have a great video on removing that. Thanks for watching!

    So, about the water pump pulley installation part, are those the only two methods to install it? I have a fairly similar setup for my water pump but I'm kind of afraid to do it the same way you showed here. I tried tightening it with the serpentine belt on but the pulley spins when attempting to tighten up the bolts (there's resistance to get it somewhat tight, but not torque level tight). Tried to use a flathead screwdriver wedged in between bolts, but this "KKKKKCCCCCHH!!!!" sound as I'm attempting to tighten makes me think that's a very bad idea lol.
    So is there another way to tighten up a water pump pulley?

      Make sure your bolts and threads are clean. It shouldn't be that hard to tighten. But yeah those are the two ways. Thanks for watching!

      Pablo Santiago if it’s under your crank pulley then it’s your Timing cover gasket that’s leaking

    • @2carpros
      @2carpros  3 года назад

      18 Ft Lbs.
      Just tight to me felt good and didn't leak. Thanks for watching!

  • @angelf9800
    @angelf9800 6 лет назад

    Why didn’t you just leave on the belt so you could take off the pully bolts off easier

    • @2carpros
      @2carpros  6 лет назад +3

      Because you wouldn't want that much tension on a pulley while removing it. Thanks for watching!

    I was all good until you put that green antifreeze. Ford 2005 calls for Gold only, and when you don't use it you loose parts starting with water pumps.
