    I studied arts and photography for many years and the best trick I found to take great pictures of works of art is to take them outside on an overcast day at moon when the sun is at it's highest. This way you get even lighting and cut glare and you can always adjust exposure and contrast in Photoshop.
    Great videos my friend, always good info. Keep up the great work!! :)

      Ever thought of having a slit that would fit the size of your paintings cut in a floor or on a wall ?? ...or even a patio door strategically placed.
      Dali had this ingenious mechanism in his Malaga studio where there would be a slit cut into the floor of the wall on which he was painting with a system of pulleys which would allow him to move the painting up and down at will so not to have to use a ladder on large canvases.

    Artists are so different, I think there's place for any work of art. My process is so different starting from a raw linen stretching and applying gelatine etc. Then I spend a month working on a single piece. I wish I could work much quicker 💁‍♀️😁One thing we have in common-is the size of the paintings. I love large paintings💫👩‍🚀

      Indeed Stephen - it is a problem. For my live streams I use artificial lighting and am having a very steep learning curve between what real life looks like and what the camera sees. Am currently trying to understand the Kelvin range for the light tones I need. Complicated stuff... if I discover anything useful I will report back!

    Love and admire your work. 1 question is If you want to reproduce your art for prints, what settings would you set the camera at for optimum actual size resolution ? I’m under the impression that the camera needs to be set up for the exact resolution as the output at 300 dpi.

    • @SwarezArt
      @SwarezArt  2 года назад

      Hi Janie. It may be better to think in terms of image size in pixels. For print reproduction always choose the highest your camera will allow. For a 24MP camera that's 6000px x 4000px. You can do post processing in Photoshop (or equivalent) where you can adjust output dpi but that will depend on how big you intend to output a file to print. A4 and A3 don't need that big a file but the larger you go the more data is required to prevent pixilation. There may be a guide online that defines the range for each paper size and how big the file parameters should be? ? Not sure - I don't do prints because I find them too complicated to organise!!!

      Hi Debora. I don't organize my photos so i can't really be of much help. I just take the raw pics and keep them in month folders. That's all. When I have processed them and either uploaded them to the site or created anew folder with the painting name I ignore the original raw Jpegs - so no need to catalogue the. Hope that makes sense?
