My pleasure 😊 and thanks for your kind words
Thanks for the tips! Most importantly being so succinct and not trying to sell me something.
Lola Johnson you’re welcome!
Suddenly widowed with huge debts left behind I HAVE to restart my artist's life. It is wonderful to have to work consistently, and it occured to us (son and me) that we didn't need those horrid exhibitions or the art dealers any more now we have The Web. Your blog about starting as an artist suddenly popped up on my You Tube. I thought I would be too grand to accept advice...I was SOO wrong! Your blog has enthused and cheered me.. even though I don't do animal paintings ! Thanks a bunch. From an artist living in the USA but yearning for home in England and my little house in France.
I am so sorry to hear about your loss. You and your son are right, there is now an entire world of potential collectors of your work. Both Ady and myself are so happy to hear we helped in some small way to motivate you 😊 I don't paint animals either but have been told people do see creatures and the like in my paintings 😁 Take care my friend and welcome to the Swarez family 😉
Thank you for reminding me to disregard the outside and stay confident and positive about my work. Videos are great!
Ah bless you Lisa - that's very kind of you, thank you!
Great pictures. I also love how you move around in your studio as you speak and always gesticulate in such an expressive manner.
Glad you enjoy it Eric - thanks for the feedback!
Your followers from philippines realy love your work and advice as a new Artist you mentored us our journey how to engage people with our art.
That’s so good to hear, thank you for your kind words.
Excellent tips! The getting respect from your family part is a serious challenge, and I await the sacred moment of getting a seperate workspace. I absolutely Love seeing how you've grown and thrived in your studio over the years. You are an Inspiration, and kudos to your partner there too.
That is very kind of you to say so, thank you for your kind words
You are so refreshing. I really like how approachable and helpful you are. You don't have an arrogant attitude that a lot of successful artists can have (not all of course). Thank you for your help!
Thank you so much, that's really kind of you and I am glad you fond the video helpful!
Thank you for those useful advices!
You are so welcome!

Amazing bro. Kp it up n God bless u... u are an inspiration for many
Wow! Thanks dude; really appreciate that. Will keep trying!
Hospitals buy art. I don’t know how it works, exactly, but a friend sold a big abstract to a hospital for $17,000 (and no, it wasn’t a mental hospital)!
really?
that's a great idea.
I’ve been to so many hospitals with honestly GREAT art and it just made me wonder if it’s just reused or basic art or genuinely one of a kind
I hope it's not money laundering 😂
Well that doesn't surprise me. A hospital is a company as well.
You are a legend I wish to meet but am a african boy so I will just keep watching your videos 💓
Thanks Ketulo

I am new to the Art world, and have been painting with acrylics for the past 2 yrs, I do landscapes and animals, but I am also learning to draw better and to draw and paint portraits. I also do pastels, and design my own knitwear. I am autistic with aspergers; so prefer to do it all at home, I am lucky I live alone and have a large flat, so have plenty of room. I am on fb, and thinking of posting on their when I have enough pieces. I have a decent camera when I need it; as I am quite slow at producing stuff, so it is taking a long time; but I am not in a hurry...lol
Good news Rosanne - wishing you well on your journey. Take your time and enjoy every moment!
I'm giving art an try I want to spend my time wisely now that I have respect for myself
That’s great to hear and I wish you great luck and success
Excellent advice. Thanks. I create pet portraits and just as you suggested I started with learning from other artists and then creating portraits for my family members. Just starting to get some interest from paying customers now 👍.

Great advice ... No one ever talks about the elephant in the room ... As a beginner artist ... I LOVE large format abstract ... But canvases are so expensive, and materials ... And then getting them framed ... This is what i struggle with ... Thank you for your work.
Thank you so much Frank

I know you are reaaaaaally busy with these big pieces but wonder if i have missed some of the acrylic for beginners somewhere? Thank you again🌷🌷
@@attasvanpatatas5518 no, it is only the two videos at the moment so you haven't missed anything. Great inspirational presentation !!!❤
Thank you!
Muy bueno amigo
Gracias Roman!
I'm aiming at a niche who want white wall friezes. Can't get much more niche than that!
Very useful comments & tips... Currently focusing on creating more works of art to share on social media sites. Unfortunately difficult when some of your arts are a bit too erotic for Facebook and tumbler (got rejected a couple of times)
You're guaranteed to make money, just make some teaser art that draws your audience in. There's no end of the silly dudes who want silly pictures of hot chicks. It's embarrassingly cheesy but time and again I think to myself that I should give that a try.
Thank you! I’ve got a tiny apartment. Just me. Organize my space! Thanks ❤️
Thanks Debra!
Hi you give by far the most realistic and useful advice for artists. I have watched your videos multiple times and come back when i get the urge to enter an art competition :) A wish from me, I would appreciate if you share some of your ideas on art display. I love your stands on wheels. I often exhibit in world heritage spaces and cant hang on walls. Your frames beside each painting are neat, i am adapting that as well. I find that if you provide a story on each painting you gain more insterest and for that you need more than a note with price/technique beside the artwork. Best regards
Thanks Yvonne - that's really kind of you to say so. Stands are from Amazon - they help me as I too have little wall space to use and many paintings to show! I'm sure there are very elaborate free-hanging systems out there but none as cost effective as clothes rails! Thanks for supporting the channel!
Thanks for sharing this, very helpful 👍
My pleasure Cathleen!
Just came across your channel. Lovely work and I have found a new inspiration. Wishing you all the best and looking forward to seeing you regularly now. Just went through your videos, artworks, website, etc. hah. Genius! The goal is to have a career like you. The struggling artist here. Most importantly its hard to find our own style.
Regards,
Shaharyar from Pakistan
Thank you for your kind words Shaharyar, that's very kind of you!
Very good! Thank you!
Thank you! Straight advice. And easy to implement. Great.
You are welcome Goran!
Thanks very much for your positive and supportive video. It would be great if you could place on your 'to make videos' list one with suggestions on how creative older folk who are perhaps approaching retirement could start something where they could sell their art work and supplement their pensions. Older people tend to get forgotten but many have a lot to offer with producing something creative. At a time like this when many people are losing their jobs and income, having a new enterprise can offer an economic aid as well as warding off depression. Even though older people have less time in which to educate themselves or master something, a lot could be accomplished in a small time with the right attitude. I think your videos are really important as they offer hope and allow people to think along new inventive lines and possibly encourage those with a fear of the internet to open up to others. Well done and thanks.
Thank you Stephen. Like so many things we have to embrace a degree of change in order to further ourselves to reach our intended audiences. Though not an exclusive medium, the internet and its ability to bring us closer than ever to those who take notice, is invaluable. I've just started a series of website for artist videos which i am keeping simple and clear so that it may give creatives some choices on whether they want to do this or not. There are many ways to reach a buyer so i will talk about these throughout the year as often as I can.
@@SwarezArt You are doing great things and thanks so much for plain - speaking and informative videos; by the way your art work is inspiring and diverse - love the big studio!
I have no idea with what I'm doing with RUclips and I'm a self taught abstract artist but I'm going to continue to paint I need to learn video editing and get better equipment. I work from home and record off a basic phone.
That's exactly where we stared too. You can do this, believe you can and you will! Take small steps.
@@SwarezArt thankyou that means alot more than you realize
@@Unlockingparadoxes :)
thank u,,,so real n earthy,,truly mi hooked my soul jumps much needed
Thanks so much for the how-tos! I love your work and your gallery/studio. I am relatively new to the art world and have been painting and selling for a couple of years fairly well. Acrylic on canvas. I do mainly ocean/beach scenes as that is my passion. I wonder what your idea is of joining local artist’s clubs where members-only works are displayed and sold at local galleries or hotel lobbies? Of course the venue gets a commission when you sell.
Thanks for your great feedback Lisa. Much appreciated. I would say to go for it if you can find a sales outlet - you never know until you try right? Everything is worth a shot!
Your work is outstanding I love your imagination on canvas I have just started painting and finding it difficult to focus on one medium but I'm looking more at following your style but Jesus the canvas is expensive for these big ones you do not being negative but until one can make some money from my arrt its a money pit but I love to create and I'm very critical of my work ,is that normal ?
Yes George, it is normal. It shows you don't accept anything until it feels right. Embrace it - without it things get stale and processional very quickly. You are indeed in a money pit and I am the same. But the allure of what could be next is always too alluring to give up!!
That's 63 Amg is a true motivation to get started
haha - thanks Abdel - pity it doesn't belong to me though...!
