In traditional cultures the whole goal is that young people grow up and get married and that is what both they and their family expect and look forward to. Getting married and starting a family is what will happen in developing countries with traditional cultures which most of them are. I am an ole schooler who grew up in this country when the US was a traditional culture and 70% of black kids were born into “two parent” households. That was a few percentage higher than white kids being born in two parent household at that time. Back then the young newly married couples started out with nothing and had to live with the grooms family for a few years to save enough money to get their first rental place. You will still find this practice in many poorer/developing countries with traditional culture values. In the late sixties US capitalist realize there is profits to be made in divided households. Rather than one home, two home with two sets of utility bills, furniture, cars, phones, groceries expenses, etc. will increase consumer expenditure and promote far more upward reallocation of wealth. Thus the US is 4.7% of the world’s population with 1/3 of the world’s billionaires and 24.5 million millionaires in the U.S. The bottom line is the US care far more about materialism and money than they care about family and traditional values. The powers in charge are willing to accept all the violence that is spun from broken and dysfunctional families as acceptable side effects. And there strongest tool to keep it that way is the promotion of the virtues of excessive individuality over the strong unities of family that will often correct their young kids who may develop personality, attitude, or identity problems that could at worst could put these way-worth youngsters on a path of crime in some cases. By contrast, in the US our politicians and financial oligarchs have realized there is money to be made in crime. This claim can easily be realized by googling some famous and high profile DA’s and prosecutors and comparing their low six figure income with their multi-million dollar net worth.

For me the Bay Area has been my paradise. I agree about getting married is better in a developing country than in the US. However, one should not be afraid to use the word “traditional” because that word hit closer to the root of the issue. In traditional cultures the whole goal is that young people grow up and get married and that is what both they and their family expect and look forward to. Getting married and starting a family is what will happen in developing countries with traditional cultures which most of them are. I am an ole schooler who grew up in this country when the US was a traditional culture and 70% of black kids were born into “two parent” households. That was a few percentage higher than white kids being born in two parent household at that time. Back then the young newly married couples started out with nothing and had to live with the grooms family for a few years to save enough money to get their first rental place. You will still find this practice in many poorer/developing countries with traditional culture values. In the late sixties US capitalist realize there is profits to be made in divided households. Rather than one home, two home with two sets of utility bills, furniture, cars, phones, groceries expenses, etc. will increase consumer expenditure and promote far more upward reallocation of wealth. Thus the US is 4.7% of the world’s population with 1/3 of the world’s billionaires and 24.5 million millionaires in the U.S. The bottom line is the US care far more about materialism and money than they care about family and traditional values. The powers in charge are willing to accept all the violence that is spun from broken and dysfunctional families as acceptable side effects. And there strongest tool to keep it that way is the promotion of the virtues of excessive individuality over the strong unities of family that will often correct their young kids who may develop personality, attitude, or identity problems that could at worst could put these way-worth youngsters on a path of crime in some cases. By contrast, in the US our politicians and financial oligarchs have realized there is money to be made in crime. This claim can easily be realized by googling some famous and high profile DA’s and prosecutors and comparing their low six figure income with their multi-million dollar net worth.

What shows? It is a two way street! The media has shown the unhealthy sides to both men and women.
Why can’t men be leaders? Take the high road, come up with solutions, maintain your integrity. When a leader is weak, his team loses. It’s almost as if some men don’t want to be men anymore.
Women are emotional creatures. Nagging is a poor expression of pain/sadness that can be temporarily fixed with a hug and permanently resolved with self-reflection. There are healthy and unhealthy ways of expressing one’s emotions.
Passive aggressive behaviour, the silent treatment, stonewalling and avoiding conflict are not successful ways of doing that. Learn to identify the patterns in yourself just as women should. Accountability is central to leadership.
