So much talent in this band and Brittany Slayes has one hell of a voice!
When I first heard this song I was blown away. And when I found out that it was the opening track to a concept album and that the follow up album had just been released I bought both on vinyl and waited until I could sit down with the lyrics sheets in one hand and some nice sipping rum in the other and followed along with the story. That was one of the best decisions I've ever done =P

More stuff to check out from Unleash The Archers: Tonight We Ride and General of The Dark Army are a couple of slightly older tracks. Tonight We Ride really shows off Britts vocal chops (and they still perform this song live and they still KILL it). Then for more recent stuff The Wind That Shapes The Land is the climax of the Abyss album which was a continuation of the story began with Awakening. There is no music video for this song so will have to just listen to the song. Most recently Ghosts In The Mist from their latest album just released last month. Another concept album about AI but the official video was made from live footage of them performing it at the Mad With Powerfest last year. So much great stuff from these guys.
Test Your Metal is also a great one to check out if you're into fun high vocal stuff

when i heard this the first time i thought, meh that's not the music i usually listen to and it's to fast and to stressfull, although i can see the talent and the quality, but eventually it happened that i watched some more reactions to it and it grew on me so i watched some more reactions and watched some other stuff of unleash the archers and some interviews with britney and stuff, and what shall i say, now this is on my playlist and probably will be for a long time
you will catch yourself humming the main hook the next days :) while i'm looking forward to the inevitable follow up reaction of 'tonight we ride'

Apex is a concept album and the next album Abyss continues the same story. They actually released hardcover books of short stories fleshing out each track in the album, which was awesome. Off that second album, Abyss, the track The Wind That Shapes The Land is an 8-and-a-half minute masterpiece of warm, highly technical, uplifting metal. It's my go-to workout music. If you want a song where the lead singer, Brittany "Slayes" (real last name is Hayes) just noodles around with her voice, the title track from their older album Time Stands Still is exactly that.
Another band you may like is Edge of Paradise, they just signed to Napalm Records and have a very unique sound. Try The Unknown or Basilisk to get you started!

Ash I really appreciate you just being real. You don’t front and luckily you have reasonable peeps in the comments who can disagree without claiming they were attacked or some other cringey nonsense. I do listen to UtA on my own time but I totally understand them not being the right vibe for other people. It’s kinda like how Sleep Token seems to split metal fans.

Funny... a while ago I was showing my vinyl collection to one of my 17 year old boys (have two of them, twins). We found the German band Warlock with Doro Pesch as singer. He thought she sounded like a band he was currently listening to. Then he forced me into his room, tied me to a chair and played me this group. (ok, he didn't force me 😉 ). He was so surprised that I put it on my playlist... haha, there are a lot of things he doesn't know about his old dad.
By the way, I kept my promise... check my comment on your last Aurora video...😊 Coffee house...
