Thank you Phoenix Edits for posting the information about Matt's announcement. As someone who doesn't use social media nor the rooster teeth website, its hard to tell how long it would've been before I found out otherwise. Appreciate you and the great compilations you continue to create.
That's exactly why I posted, no worries!
Challenge Accepted was the only AH show I regularly watched and enjoyed anymore and Matt's done such a great job as a main host after the departure of others.
People will follow the talent they've grown to appreciate over the years rather than the company and I hope Matt thrives like Ray and Jeremy before him, he deserves the success.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure he'll be fine and wish the best for him. But this was honestly probably a good thing for him since he seems to lack any sort of ambition to go out on his own.
I’m glad Kdin said Matt was supportive of her and him leaving was her final straw to tell her story. Dudes going to kill it on twitch. Matt has a great attitude for the long twitch grind

Matt has a part-time position in AH so he’ll probably still do Challenge Accepted and Randomizer videos.
Tbh, I think Discovery gave him a part time position instead of flat out laying him off because they don’t want to pay severance…
I've been a huge fan of Matt's ever since I got invested in his resurrection of Mini-Matt and his devotion to protecting his Minecraft son & the horse Sugar Cube. He's always just seemed like a cool, genuinely good guy. Hearing the recent news has been like a slap to the face, and I hope he does well with whatever he does next.
I want to say that was almost when I stopped watching. Things were fuzzy for me after that with RT. It was during covid for sure though

That’s sadly a very common business practice. Activision and EA canned a lot of their contract workers weeks before new game launches. The less people present, the more money the higher ups can get.

since I subscribed last night to his youtube hes went from 7000 to nearly 10,000 subs and his streaming as of now has 2.7k active viewers which is 2000+ more than I normally notice he has, so good job Matt fans on showing him the love he deserves

matt is not only a really talented presenter and person in general, but also has the unique talent of elevating the humor of everyone he works with. Its said to see him go from rt but I know he will find success in other places
tbh i agree i think matt is one of the true talents left in AH, michael's humors sometimes feels forced or staged (nothing against the guy) and the others sometimes felt like they're overdoing it
The randomizers with him and Michael were the only thing keeping me attached to AH. I feel bitter because I’ve been watching them for 10 years and now I just can’t seem to find a reason to want to.
3:58 The voice crack on "mAgic!" killed me. Despite every shitty thing happening over at RT/AH, I'm glad Jeremy, Matt, and (for the longest time) Ray have stellar content on their own channels. Go support Myatt, Dooley, Ray, and anyone else who got fucked over by the company. Love the people, not the place they work.

@@ijustyap Gotta agree. At that point you just axe the whole company - which they are looking for an excuse to do I'm sure. Matt has been around forever I know, and has really stepped up since 2020 when shit like this started happening regularly, but Michael is on a whole other level, and you know him going means Lindsay and Gavin would ikely not be far behind. Him, Jack and Gavin are some of the longest running members of not just AH but the whole of RT and also some of the most beloved. I just think he's got too much clout for them to get rid of him and still be able to salvage what's left.
@@slayerdwarfify I honestly can't see them getting rid of any more of the Core 6 at this point... Ray left on his own accord, Geoff was made to take a managerial role, and Ryan left for reasons, so they've only got half of the old school crew regularly in content. If they tried to get rid of Jack, Gavin, or Michael, then AH would probably break. Hell, they probably can't get rid of Lindsay, either, because you get rid of them, and then Michael might be left with a bad taste in his mouth for how Warner Discovery treated them.

I’m so sad about this. Unlike many others that have left AH, this hurts to see almost as much as Ray leaving. At least with Ray he chose to leave and pursue full time streaming, with Matt, it’s so sad that he got laid off essentially

It took me time to warm up to mate cause I think I was just so used to like the hyper lads and stuff but I rlly enjoy Matt being in vids and his own vids he is rlly enjoyable to watch and a funny dude I feel like I relate to him in some ways although I’m no like master at games but I still enjoy his content

Losing Michael would be a massive mistake. Michael is an original member of the achievement hunter group of the day one crew ever since the inception of Jeff and Jack, including Ray Gavin and aforementioned Ryan to have already left with one for reasons we all know otherwise, leaving Gavin as the last true standing member who occasionally shows up along with Jack Michael, being the last true remnant of a golden era of team members that we all used to love it enjoy if they do fire Michael, for their own stupidity reasons is warner brother would most likely do I think generally speaking, the community will no longer watch any achievement, hunter Content. As funny as Joe and BK can be trying to live up to the legacy of the original group is something hard to do but Morceau, trying to find the same youth and enjoyment as the others have put out for the last decade plus it’s going to be Nye impossible to replicate as much as we want deny it officially as of Matt leaving at least Michael and the occasional Gavin to be the last two beacons left in each even hunter family I grew up with these nerds. This is the only reason I initially wanted to watch no disrespect to be K, Trevor Joe, or anybody else but rock ‘n’ roll is rock ‘n’ roll for a reason and not country.

Laying off Matt Bragg for me was the final straw. There are a few wonderful personalities still at rooster teeth, which at this point I hope they leave and just do individual collaborative content. What an absolute shame that the company turned into such rot.

I stopped watching AH & RT content a few months back after they started pushing to replace the older members in videos with only new kids.
All the series I liked watching were cut from releases (GTA, MC, etc...) so I had nothing to watch from them anymore. I get way more content from watching Ray, Jeremy, and now Matt on their own channels. Screw RT & WB. They ruined their company by "dissolving" the jobs of many of their amazing staff. Jeremy was the first, Matt is the newest, and definitely not the last.
Some day it will just be new members and none of the older members will exist besides maybe Jack or Geoff who only do work on major projects or on Extra Life.
Due to WB and RT deciding to "Dissolve" many of their long time employees I won't be supporting their Extra Life event this year and instead just support Extra Life through my own ways.
AH should disband entirely at this point.
Every single one of them streams anyway, their section of the company is on life support, and seeing as how the ogs are slowly but surely trickling out, it's inevitable that the branch is gonna be cut free.
its become rly clear now its basically a lost cause to have any sort of loyalty to a corporate entity
i, unlike most old fans, still enjoy a lot of AH content, but im over trying to defend or support them in any way. it's rly easy (esp if you don't like the new content) to blame a bunch of surface level shit like the new hires, bad game choices, the new focus on streams/podcasts etc. but none of those tackle the root cause which is that AH at the end of the day is a corporate entity and it will be run as such. no company with capitalistic values (least of all fucking warner) is gonna sacrifice profit for quality of the content, or worker retention, or any of that shit. at the end of the day they will do wtv they need to save expenses and get a better margin. i'm still watching cos i still find their stuff entertaining but i no longer want any emotional attachment to the channel as a whole
As soon as I heard "The News" I immediately started following the Bragg on Twitch. AH is losing its oldest and best memebers and as a result they are going to start losing their oldest and best fans. Already cancelled my 1st membership.
Being perfectly honest I haven't watched much RT outside of the occasional Videos that are with Matt, Gavin, or Michael. To be perfectly honest I am not really ok with RT anymore and I don't think the talent who say they want things to be better should he ether. People like Jack and Geoff should honestly be ashamed of themselves. They have failed on every level to protect and enable their employees.
