Anyone listening in August of 2024? Wtf I remember listening to Foals when they hadn't released their first album yet, I am old af...Their concerts are fkn amazing! Yannis threw water on me during a hot hot concert in July some years back, later they just visited local pubs etc...don't think they can do that anymore...I am happy for their success but at the same time these gigs and concerts back in the day were the best. Now I hear their music playing at stores etc..
Yes! SO what if they're on the radio now? They still play their gigs well, yeah maybe not as intimate/small as when they were starting out, but there's not much that can be done for that... is it not a price/tax of success? They're still an awesome band making and performing great music.

Hey those are some awesome memories, be glad you experienced them. Nothing ever lasts forever. There are plenty of other cool bands/artists we don't even know about on the come up right now doing small gigs. Maybe somewhere, someone in the audience of one of those random concerts is experiencing something similar to what you described and they're also gonna be remembering it fondly a few years from now lol. I think being able to feel nostalgic over little moments like that from our past is a part of what makes life so great. I don't even know what the hell I'm on about. Scattered thoughts lol.

I really like this video. It's a great track and the video is full of really interesting images. I was drawn to the crow eating the pomegranate and the guy with his foot on fire. Very watchable.

So I know I'm 11 years late to this comment, lol, but I saw them live probably 13 or so years ago. It must've been right before their 3rd album. Anyways, they were the closer for a 3 headliner show, with naked and famous (great show) and some other band that sang about whales or some **** (it was the indies of the late 00's, early 10's, so it was pretty par for course). Foals was 45 minutes LATE, and pretty sure yannis was drunk or something. Anyways, they were okay. Their music didn't sound very good live I think because it was very math rock, and it just didn't sound good live - everything blending together. Could've just been the venue.
Anyways, loved their first album, enjoyed their 2nd a bit, and didn't give a crap about the rest of their discography. All sounds like the same indie song today. Bleh.
