Sorry for asking so many questions and it's hard to see comparisons to these two multi-tools and where I live they do not have them on display for me to use them to see if I like them and overall if you were to make a decision would you go with the Leatherman ARC? It seems like the Leatherman is the better option and I am a maintenance technician/handyman for my profession and I want a good sturdy multi-tool that won't get corrosion easily and the tools are easy to access and I also want a multi-tool that has a good knife blade that doesn't have to be sharpened all the time and I have used my friend's other Leatherman multi-tools like the Leatherman Wave Plus and the Leatherman Surge and they were decent multi-tools but I felt like the surge was too heavy and the one-handed opening was decent and one of the other things I noticed was a very strong metallic smell which might have been because the multi-tool stainless steel metal was new because I have used other victorinox pocket knives and have never noticed this metallic smell because they're very well polished and did you happen to notice this type of metallic smell with the Leatherman ARC because I noticed a Leatherman ARC becomes more polished and also has DLC coating on it but would like to hear some more information from you and looking forward to hearing information from you and thank you@@QuantiQualification
@clarkkent4608 In my opinion, the swisstool mx clip is a better put together and probably higher quality tool. If you can live with the difficulty in accessing the tools, that is the one I would go with. The ARC has some advantages over the Swisstool beyond the ease of access and that is the bit holder which is a blessing and a curse. The ARC simply does not have as many tools as the Swisstool because the bit holders take up a lot of room. This makes carrying extra bits necessary to match the Swisstools basic functionality. But . . . if you need hex or torx or square drive, the swisstool simply cannot accomodate without an entirely separate ratchet tool and bits. As far as steels of.the primary blade, I would not necessarily say that one is better than the other without knowing the heat treated hardness of the Magnacut blade. Magnacut has high corrosion resistance and decent toughness but does not necessarily hold an edge better than the Swisstool. No smell really from either tool. Swisstool is more like an heirloom tool you can pass down while the Arc feels like it will last long enough but not generational. In the end, I chose the ARC 1) Because I wanted to try it, 2) It was different than the Swisstool that I am moving on from 3) Ease of access of the tools 4) Need of hex bits for the electric scooters I am currently playing with. I will be making a quick video about being able to carry a few extra bits on the ARC itself which is kind of fun. Either way you go, I don't think you will go wrong.

@@QuantiQualificationAnd yes the newer victorinox Swiss tool MX clip has a one-handed operation but I heard the thumb stud is not that great and I heard the metals used on the victorinox multi-tools are a lower quality as comparison to the Leatherman ARC but the victorinox swiss tool multi-tools have a polish finish which is better for rust resistance and corrosion resistance but do you think the Leatherman ARC is also sufficient against corrosion resistance? And looking forward to hearing your opinion and thank you

Thank you for doing this video and this was my concern with the victorinox Swiss tool MX clip because the tools are hard to get out of the handles and I have been undecided on purchasing the Swiss tool MX clip or the Leatherman ARC and in your opinion which one would you go with?
