Some brands use a heavier, thicker, stronger copper, whatever word is needed in their primers. I have the original BG380 and had light strikes. Sent back to S&W twice without resolution. I liked the weapon and wanted to keep it so I tried half a dozen different ammo brands until I found one that went boom consistently. Then I heard about a Galloway heavier hammer spring. Once installed the thing now goes boom with any ammo. Not sure if anyone's making improved springs for the BG 380 2.0 yet but something to think about. Great vid and presentation. TY
Love your videos young lady. This is my wife's new EDC. And she absolutely loves it. The only thing she wants to change out, is the rear sight. She wants to go with a night sight that also isn't as wide of a picture. At 15 yards and in, she is very accurate. But at 25 yards not so much. That being said, she is used to her VP9SK optics ready. She just wanted something smaller for conceal carry.
A little trick I learned young lady is to stuff those mags full and leave them for a week or so, The springs will soften and it'll be much easier for you to load. Also Ive put 350 rounds through my BG 2.0, not quite enough yet, but it is breaking in nicely. Great video, Love to see the ladies getting into the sport. great video. New sub
Need to get the UpLULA for mag loads, it’s a finger saver….!!! I use mine every time and I never go to the range without it and it can load 9mm and 380 ammos…I have the original Bodyguard 380 and this new Bodyguard 2.0 and I hate the old one but I love the 2.0 and had zero hiccups at the range with it !!!
This is a very viable option for self defense without getting into the whole convo of 380 VS any other caliber. They’re different for a reason and technology has allowed this round to be more incapacitating if deployed appropriately. No firearms should EVER be placed in a pocket for drawing since you can wind up shooting yourselves as has happened. Finally I would rather the ladies slinging this lead as an option then slinging a purse when attacked…. Nice video summer and yes different firearms like different ammo as far as function which is what range time is for. 😎
As a fellow “Sista Shooter” and a relative “newbie”(2plus years) You are truly an INSPIRATION, and I am so ENJOYING your content.. DO WHAT YOU CHA DO GURL!! 👍🏽🔥🔥☺️
Usually light primer strikes are the fault of the Primer and not the Tool. I'd try a couple of boxes of different brands to see the the problem persists. Keep us posted. 😎
Two questions 1) is there any chance of the rounds with light primer strike exploding (firing) since they have been struck 2) would you try to fire these rounds again?
@@gghostrrider I’m not 100% sure they would explode but when I have light primer strikes I don’t fire those rounds again. Just a safety habit I’ve adapted.
It's possible to get a light primer struck round to fire with a second strike but it might also have the same result. It's not like a lit firework though. The only light primer strike to fear is one that could occur in a self defense situation. Racking it back to get the next round in the chamber would be my only concern in that moment because that unfired round isn't a threat.

I'm kind of mad at smit n wessy right now. Front sight flew off at the range today. Brand new gun, not even 100 rounds yet
Either the sights are flying off or they’re no where near centered… not even close. They definitely dropped the ball there.

I carry mine in a kydex pocket holster. Mags do take a little bit of a break in period. Also a little picky on the shape of the bullet.
