GEN E - Vol. 3 - Elliot Kwelele

Elliot shares his journey of overcoming the stigma of being part of a traditionally caucasian, female dominated sport, coupled with his struggles to find his community growing up in Ireland.
Elliot’s story is one of strength and perseverance. A double World Champion Irish Dancer at only 17, he hails from Co. Louth with his Nigerian born-Irish parents. Elliot shares his journey of overcoming the stigma of being part of traditionally a Caucasian, female-dominated sport coupled with his struggles to find his community in Ireland.
GEN E (Generation Equal) will showcase the voices, stories and lived experiences of LGBTQ+ young people and those from ethnic minority backgrounds in an effort to foster conversations about real inclusion and diversity issues faced by young people today. The collaboration will see spunout and Accenture work together to champion greater equality progress, create further opportunities to empower young people, and work to make equality a reality.
