I am not sure about taking Peter's job offer. He would acquire 100% of their framing company in exchange for a full time job at Jessop's, with no guarantee that the position is permanent. Worst case scenario: the framing market makes a loss for Jessop's and Peter closes that arm of the company and makes them both redundant. Best case scenario: the framing market makes millions for Jessop's, and the two entrepreneurs see none of the profit, just their normal salary. The risk and reward of running their own company is greater but ultimately worth it if it succeeds.

yes but only after the business idea becomes clearly redundant in the eyes of the entrepreneur. you cant switch from passion , hope and enthusiasm to "oh lets forget about it and work 9 to 5 " in mere moments . 100% explore the salary and compensation package to go run a new division for a dragon who has now seen your product and can easily replicate it. They chose to compete against him instead. Hope it was worth it.
This is a very, very, very good example of a rudimentary EMPLOYEE given promotions up to the top of the ladder not because they are equipped intellectually and skillfully at their job, but simply because, they are gullible enough to be controlled. Dragon's Den so much better than Shark Tank. Shark Tank tried to duplicate this, but came up well short. The English just do things better, mostly because of their classiness.
I love Dragon’s Den because most of the businesses offered are ridiculous and it fun to see them get slammed. There seems to be a lack of imagination with them. And when they have a decent idea, they don’t think it through, they over-evaluate, they don’t have figures, they don’t streamline and they expect to be guided by a Dragon, not to expand their businesses, but to teach them about business. I don’t get it. The patience of the Dragons is rather staggering to me.
