Enchanted Rock State Natural Area has drawn visitors for centuries, because of its uniqueness in the Texas Hill Country landscape. The 425-foot pink granite batholith rises out of the greenness and gently rolling hills that surround it. Today, it is one of Texas' most visited sites in the state parks system and allows visitors to connect with nature, while providing 360-agree views of the surrounding Hill Country. Located in Gillespie & Llano Counties, 18 miles north of Fredericksburg on RR 965 or south from Llano on S. State Hwy 16 for 14 miles, then west on R.R. 965 for eight miles.
