    I love how you film from a third person perspective. I like a reviewer who shows how the bike looks from an outside perspective when ridden, not just a handlebar POV

    NIce test, I appreciate the range/elevation figures you posted near the end. The only other piece of data I'd ask for is the weight of the rider, as that surely effects range.

    On a recent trip to Winnipeg and back in an EV, I noticed an interesting behaviour at PetroCan fast chargers that might make an interesting video topic for your channel. Do you have a way I can DM?

    Is that bike modded? You really don’t want to be charging a 36v battery with a 42v charger. And your amp rating on the charger shouldn’t be more than about 30% of the ah.
    The stock battery is 5ah, so 1.5a is already the limit. Not only is it dangerous to be charging at 5ah, but it’d definitely not good for the battery.
    I still can’t believe you’re charging a 36v battery with a 42v charger. Please tell me your bike is modded with a 42v battery.

    • @ebikeengineer
      @ebikeengineer 7 месяцев назад +1

      42v is the max voltage of a 36v Lithium Ion battery, so that is the correct voltage for the charger (just as 48V batteries use 54.6v chargers, and 52v batteries use 58.8v chargers).

    How big is battery Wh ? 5 amp feels alot on a small battery.... I can charge about 8 amp on a 1800wh euc 100v wheel.

      5A is dangerous on the factory battery. If it gad high quality cell or more in cells in parallel it would be ok. That charger will shorten battery life. Its not good to exceed 0.5A per cell in parallel.

    I have a Jetson but im looking to upgrade. I just googled lectric and their xpedition model looks like what ive been looking for. But im not seeing a retailer of that brand near Calgary. Where did you get the one you're going to review?

      I am just gonna upgrade the bolt. Once I swapped out the crank and the seat post, it became a genuinely fun ride. I am stripping it to the frame, swapping the tires and the forks, then grafting a refurbished bike onto it. Not sure about an aftermarket controller yet.

    Also if you’re going to be doing dangerous things like this, you should at least plug the connector into the bike first and the wall after. Not the other way around like you’re doing in the video.
    You’re showing a horrible and very irresponsible example of charging for new people who don’t know any better and who might try to do what you’re doing.

    • @rozaytop5
      @rozaytop5 Год назад

      HUHHHH ? You do not plug into the bike first then plug into the wall, you're literally stating someone to potentially cause a fire or fry a battery. You plug into the wall first, wait for light on charger to reset then plug into bike, it literally says it in the manual and not to do as you stated to avoid spark and fire

    • @Funcentric
      @Funcentric Год назад

      @@rozaytop5 It’s actually the opposite. Plug into bike first then wall. But each to their own. Not trying to argue. Just reminding people who may have forgotten or are not aware. The wall is rated more for the surge than the bike battery.
      The idea is that no power gets into the battery until after it is already plugged in.

    • @Funcentric
      @Funcentric Год назад

      @@rozaytop5 the misunderstanding or misinformation people are hearing is what can contribute to the fires. I’d recommend researching more and then reconsidering your charging habits, quickly.

      @@Funcentric I did and anywhere I go, it says plug into wall first then you plug into battery. Even on the official Jetson website, it says the same thing

      @@rozaytop5 keep reading. You’ll find many sources. Again, you’ve been told. So up to you what you want to do. Your call. I’m not going to argue this further.
