The farm is located just before zuba flyover, if you’re coming from town you’d enter the traffic lane once’s you get to deidei then call for more directions
I'm certainly gonna be trying this sis 👍. I better start going about sourcing for fresh cow milk. Please, at what point is the rennet used? Is their a substitute for rennet. Thanks
For this recipe no rennet is used , but if you want to use rennet you have to also use citric acid. But vinegar covers for both just that rennet gives you bigger curds and a stretchier mozerella
First of all thank you for this amazing video and for the milk contact. He was really nice. I just got 10 liters from him because for the cost of delivery it didn't make sense to buy less. The price is 750 per liter not including the cost of the can. Sadly, my first attempt didn't go well.😢. It was more of the ricotta cheese consistency. I'm gonna try to get cream cheese from that. I'm also making some yogurt 🤞 and I'll try again. I suspect the vinegar is the problem though.
You’re welcome ☺️ the delivery fee is the biggest challenge 😭😭. yes definitely the vinegar!! The second time I made cheese same thing happened to me. Try to use vinegar that’s heinz or laziz they are better than the rest 😭 sorry about that !! How was the yogurt??? 🥰🥰
@@RachaelOnwuaso thanks a lot. I'll get one of the mentioned ones. So the yogurt scared me a lot. It was just clumps of yogurt and whey... not at all what I had seen in most videos. But I remembered that I read somewhere to seive and blend for a amazing and authentic Greek yogurt. I did that and it was amazing!!!! Presently working on my butter. Thanks a lot. I am like the savvy on amongst family and friends now. My head is swelling with the compliments. Please collect my appreciation
I just saw on RUclips that you can still get another type of cheese from the remaining liquid called cottage cheese and the water can be used to marinate meat and fish or boil rice
Aw no it can’t it’ll spoil but you can check for places they have cows or ask peopel that sell goat and cow they’ll likely know. Farm where you can buy for now I only know if Lagos and Abuja
Noted 👌 I didn’t use a thermometer to check the degree so I would not know what 200 should feel like that’s why I said I’d check. I did however correct it in the description box. Thanks for pointing it out too so others can follow 🤗
@@RachaelOnwuaso so my understanding is that you should be able to stick your finger in it and hold it there. I still loved your video and I’m so happy you got access to real milk. We have been getting it for about 8 months and it’s trully a blessing and a superfood. So excited to watch videos about cheesemaking from it 👊🏽
No it’s not , fura de nunu is yoghurt with millet but the yoghurt for fura is usually fresh raw milk so if you can locate the seller I think you should be able to get the raw milk from them
Aw so I think you can get from Lagos vendors and they’ll send to you in Ibadan or you can ask any staff in ShopRite for their supply day and buy only on those days
Please don’t , I have no idea what it’ll be like but apple cider vinegar is not as harsh as white vinegar, it just has higher nutritional benefits that’s why it’s better for meal dressings. And drinking. With cheese The quality of the vinegar matters based on its acidity level
For those in Lagos, there's an indian supermarket along freedom way that sells fresh milk.
Thanks for this information. What's the name of the supermarket, please?
Rennes

Wow really haven’t searched on that but I will definitely be trying that out to see ! 💆♀️
@@RachaelOnwuaso pardon me, it's called ricotta cheese not cottage

Can I use apple cider vinegar
I don’t think so
You can. Its a substitute for vinegar
How long does it last
7-10days in the fridge 3-6months in the. Freezer I’m still docking the freezer test though so I’m not done yet
Please i am in Benin, does the farm deliver outside Abuja?
Aww no it does not the milk would survive the long trip
Pls cn the milk be warebill dwn to asaba or wea can I gt a whole milk
Aw no it can’t it’ll spoil but you can check for places they have cows or ask peopel that sell goat and cow they’ll likely know. Farm where you can buy for now I only know if Lagos and Abuja
Please, the lagos contact, do you have any?
Hi l live in Asaba please where can I get fresh milk
You can check ShopRite they usually have days they bring fresh milk just ask any staff there
I'm here from ticktok, where is the farmer's number
It’s pinned here in the comments
What’s the name of the farm pls.
It’s golden finger ranch and farm zuba
Thanks
I’m following step by step, I hope I don’t make a mistake 😭
Once it’s raw fresh milk you’re good, good luck 🥹
How much did it cost?
It’s in the description box 😋😋
Pls what’s the name of the salt you used🙏🏽
Just regular table salt. You can use sea salt too
Pls did you use table salt?
Yes
Sis when it’s heated to 200 it’s pasturized. You don’t need to heat the milk past 120. Some recipes heat it to 88
Noted 👌 I didn’t use a thermometer to check the degree so I would not know what 200 should feel like that’s why I said I’d check. I did however correct it in the description box. Thanks for pointing it out too so others can follow 🤗

Please can I use powdered milk? Thank
Powdered milk can work for burger cheese but not mozzarella, it will never give you the cheese pull mozzarella has
How about full cream milk
Only unpasteurized whole milk
Anything processed won’t give you the cheese pull but you can use those ones for burger cheese
This fresh milk is it same with what we know as fura de nunu?
No it’s not , fura de nunu is yoghurt with millet but the yoghurt for fura is usually fresh raw milk so if you can locate the seller I think you should be able to get the raw milk from them
@@RachaelOnwuaso yeah that’s the just the nunu (milk) without the the millet right? The same one the Fulani sell right?
@Miraclaireagu it’s yogurt
Please can you give other things that this milk can be used to make
Hi !! Yoghurt, buttermilk, other types of cheese, even for drinking and baking too
Hello 🤍.
Hiiii

Aw so I think you can get from Lagos vendors and they’ll send to you in Ibadan or you can ask any staff in ShopRite for their supply day and buy only on those days
Yes,you can. CHeck, foodies in mobil
