People can't understand how scary it is in the dark woods completely exposed and vulnerable even when there is no threat like a dogman or rake. One guy who had an experience like this said his soul left his body he was so terrified and he never went back in the woods until it was light and never stayed past dusk. It seems like there are more of these encounters every year with all sorts of cryptids and it feels like something has changed in our reality.

It can be pretty creepy in the woods solo at night, or just walking in then in the dark.

    Scary story, Mr. DW!
I think this is the first Dogman and bear encounter I've heard.
Perhaps the dogman that was watching them with the amber eyes sensed their fear and decided to leave them alone and go back to finish off the bear.

Even though I knew what happened based on the subject of the email, I was thinking the same thing. I’ve gone through those tunnels, especially the second on when the water has been stupid high to the point we had to lay down in the canoe and go hand over hand the whole way. The middle part damn near dunked us…. Got held up at it and the water was rushing past and started coming over the back of the canoe. I thought we were gonna be going for a swim and a 3 day walk through nasty bush…. Way back against the current we portaged over the rock, took us 1/2 a day to go up, over, back, over, like 6 times. Canoe was a 16’ aluminum square stern to, so it was heavy as hell and we almost couldn’t do it. Was active military at the time too, so that says something about the terrain lol

I noticed a lot of the werewolf stories I hear from sightings even from Mr ballen stories it’s usually a neighbor or people someone knows they usually have a shed or lock area where they will chain themselves up to avoid going out when changing during a full moon or otherwise I think those werewolves know better than to attack that couple it brings unwanted attention to them plus there would be a huge investigation I believe almost more in werewolves then vampires these days soo many first hand accounts that and bigfoot sightings it’s quite amazing how many people have seen these creatures up close! Good story!
