@@janewolf4541 I hate the feeling of being watched… had that tracking a deer this year for my uncle, sun had gone down, was that dark grey twilight type light and I was going through some thick woods along the side of a swamp with my muzzle loader about a mile and a half from my truck. Didn’t say a word about it to my uncle (new hunter) but he almost instantly was on edge. Creepy feeling when that happens.

Yes, I know what you mean about that creepy feeling of being watched out in the woods. I have had that happen a few times, one time I got so scared, I had to set with my back against a tree with my rifle out ready to fire. I have had my horse also confirm that something was near. Scary feeling for sure.@@darkwilderness2392

Good to see ya again bud! thanks for sharing yet more true encounter stories... doing what you do is a public service to all communities as these things are just about everywhere, and most people are just not aware of ALL the potential dangers they may encounter when venturing beyond the limits of their normal everyday activities into areas unknown in search of some spontaneous "adventure".
People NEED to hear this stuff until the reality of it all sinks in... as to be forewarned is to be forearmed with knowledge than can possibly save their lives- or spare them from experiencing a living nightmare they will never forget.
    Anyways-
Already looking forward to more encounter stories! as, every story adds to the growing database on these shifty buggers! So, IMO it's just a matter of time til we know everything there is to know about them... it may be a long time coming, but that time WILL come eventually... likely after i'm gone, but oh well... at least the truth will be known once & for all, by one & all.

Old guy i grew up hanging out with told me his story once. I live in Florida and we all went out to the everglades to fish, camp, and have a good time. Here they call bigfoot skunk ape. So i knew this gentleman because he lived in my neighborhood and would go out to the glades with us when he found out we also went out there. One night when talking about skunk ape he said he seen one. He said he was driving down a road in Big Cypress and the grass was real tallnon the sides. He said he was driving pretty fast for being off road and one popped right out the sawgrass up front of his truck. He said he nailed it. I asked why didnt he get out and bring it home he said no way he was getting out of the truck, he said he didnt want to take the chance he was still alive but angry or another one was near by so he backed up and drove the hell out of there.

I myself am from Manitoba . Just went on google maps to measure distance from where these guys were to where I witnessed very large foot print in snow I was deer hunting 46 miles from their spot only a few years after where these guys saw their big foot . Absolutely no tracks but the ones I made behind me was a huge human footprint in the snow. I got the hell out of there .hunting partner never believed me. Back in 2000 June 1 out of the blue meeting up with a guy at fairford falls mb . He started telling me his encounter shooting a big foot when he was younger when #6 hwy was gravel. He walked up and seen it in fetal position .That story was still fresh in my head . I have seen some stuff no one believes .But I know what my eyes seen.

Holy smokes the mama sasquatch swiped their blanket! That's wild and funny but also super freaky. If my family was in a perilous situation of heavy mudsling and logs being thrown we'd have been gone right away. Thanks to Mitch and his family for sharing. I saw something like that too at about age 6 or 7 crawling out of the river at my grandfathers fish camp on the Fraser River in BC. It's a weird crawl. It disappeared behind a drift log at the roots, I screamed and ran to my grandfathers tent, our was in the back. Whatever that was slipped back into water and was gone. It was human like in appearance and all black.
The second story was equally terrifying. Darn good thing the canoe wasn't damaged as they would've been in a serious pickle. If I recall correctly those portages are for carrying a canoe by two paddlers overhead on a trail between points of dropping the canoe and carrying on. For some odd reason a lot of your sasquatch encounters and high strangeness seems to occur in Eastern Manitoba.

Thanks Juanita. Being from Manitoba, it’s a lot easier to speak with folks about stuff. I am pretty involved in the outdoor community here and it’s been crazy how many people have opened up about stuff. I certainly was not expecting to hear that many stories from my province, let alone from areas I personally have been multiple times. Won’t lie, glad I didn’t know those stories 20 years ago, or I don’t think I would have made the memories I did over the years in the woods.

It is strange how in north america the indians would mention red head giants in their history and theyd fight eachother in the mountains, then we hear of stories of nahanni valley and wendigos etc. If you fly from bc to alberta you see how vast the mountains are , it is without a doubt possible cryptids or humanoids may exist out there. Some even say at nahanni for example there is caves with underground systems. I find the canadian wilderness far more daunting then american although they have or share some things with us
