- What would you do if your child was telling you they SAW and HEARD things out of their bedroom window at your secluded cabin in the woods? Would you take it as a warning? or would you brush it off as nothing more than a child's imagination?
Claire found out first hand that there are CREATURES or ENTITY'S that will try to lure children into the woods while at her cabin with her two young children.

I always believed my kids. If they saw something scary in their room, I'd have them sleep with Mom and I'd sleep in their bed. Believe your kids when they are scared or upset because they will respect you more.
It is a serious situation for them and if they can't rely on their parents, who can they rely on when they need help or advice?

Honestly that was awful to listen to. Do not understand why Claire didn't get her kids to sleep with her after the second incident. My kids would definitely be with me if I was alone with them and that was happening, better yet we'd hike on out of there to the SUV once she saw some movement in the woods. There's no way I'd stick around risking my kids or myself.

It definitely sounds like something demonic was going on. As a Baptist minister I can tell you that we live in a spiritual world! Children are very perceptive and they can often see things that an adult can't see. I have been in the presence of those things and have see them as well while trying to help someone having problems with them. If you ever do a show on this subject I could tell you all about my experiences. I tell people that yes monsters are real and you are in their company more than you realize. Great show my friend!

In the history of parenting, has a parent ever tried staying in their kid's room just to find out for sure if something weird/scary is actually happening?
I have. My oldest once said she saw a shadow on her roof with red eyes. Freaked me out so stayed in there a few nights, never saw anything. She’s almost 17 now and still remembers that.
@darkwilderness2392 if she still remembers it then it was real. I remember things that I know happened my mom says never happened. But my memory is rock solid though. Never forget a face not even from childhood. My mom barely remembers what she did a month ago.

Losing your kid is the biggest fear of any parent. That had to be traumatizing for the mother.

Skinwalker is an overused trope at this point. There are hundreds of entities reported around the world and throughout time that are shape shifters, or can mimic voices. It could be a wood spirit, like a green man pissed that this family is disturbing the wood. Trying to scare them off.

Wow in the middle of the story I was just thinking about how they are going to think about letting another family buy the place. I really think those people did the right thing and not selling the place to anyone else.

@@darkwilderness2392I have a cottage around Kirkland Lake Ontario. Lake Wendigo. Its part of the old HBC route from James Bay. My father (93) had a older friend whos father died on a large lake in it system in the mid 1920s with a partner. Neither body ever found. An old native man told my fathers friend that he'd heard the windego screaming that night. I've spent many nights alone, in my youth, alone hunting up there. I put stock in what the natives stories say. I've been lost up there. Its not something I'd like to experience again. I now carry a GPS, extra batteries, and don't go too far off the beaten track.

lol ya I caught that while doing the editing. Problem with committing to memory and filming late at night (finished filming last night at 2am after being up at 5:30). Probably had SUV on my brain from when I took my Malinois out to pee during filming and had some dudes checking out driveways driving an old GMC Jimmy.
How slow the mother should of first time looked and kept watch search the bush, anyway got it in the end, wow nothing wrong with the daughter, mother learnt good lesson?

Wow this story gave me goosebumps. Definitely an evil entity trying to lure the daughter out. Kinda frustrated the mother was brushing it off and not really listening to what her daughter was telling her. Always believe your children right away. At least her husband turned around right away no questions asked. He had the right sense to immediately believe. Glad the family was not hurt or worse , possibly losing their child.

Another hard hitting story!
1st- Kudos to Ryan for caring about others who would buy/move into their cabin and face the same kind of trouble or worse, thinking about others you don't even know over cold hard cash is a rarity these days- I have heard similar stories, and most sold their homes/property as fast as they could.
Anywho- IMO it was a BF, the primary reason- that is what the numbers say, by that I mean the disparity between the # of reported BF encounters and the # of other cryptids- is huge, in other words-the number of BF sightings/encounters is through the roof, there are ALLOT of Sasquatches out there & their numbers appear to be on the rise.
As far as the being accurately mimicking Ryans voice- Very common with BF, and yes the Wendigo does the same, but again, the odds are against it.
IMO the creature in question was watching them every time they set foot on the property before purchasing/moving in, that explains how IT "picked up" Ryans voice-
As far as the interaction between the 5 yr. old and the "thing" at the window-
BF's are telepathic mind-readers who routinely "mind speak" with people... IMO the beast read the little girls mind, likely as she was in bed thinking about her father... the creature then tried to pass himself as her father with very convincing mind-speak.
The number of reported BF's who did the EXACT same thing to others with children living in remote areas- are far more than you would guess.

"They" must be invited or in other words "welcomed" into your home..."They" can not just come strolling on in, so to speak...... That is most likely why it chose the child... Young and innocent enough to be fooled easily, and physically big enough and smart enough to, and capable of opening the door to let "it" in.....

This has to be one of the top scariest stories soo far on the channel! I wish she would have just taken her kids out of there she may have made the best move waiting for her husband inside the cabin. I would have sold it with a disclaimer haunted or something that way hey the new owners know what they are getting into many people would just shrug that off and purchase the property lol

It does. I’ve been a few times, but I’m not overly a fan of TO to be honest. Way too big for me personally. Even Winnipeg where I’m from is too big lol, I’d prefer to live out in the country on 640 acres if I could. lol
From Chicago and it has an impressive skyline at night. But man Toronto our neighbors to the north. Have one as well impressive view. 😀

Could be a Skinwalker or sasquatch. I've heard encounters of Skinwalkers mimicking the voice of someone's loved one, or relative while they're camping or in the woods. But on the other hand - sasquatches seem to be attracted to little children and this isn't the first story I've heard of one tapping on the windows of little children, as though it's something maternal/paternal in them that's after them. Scary!
In all of these encounters - how about putting curtains on the window and closing them at night? That would be my first priority if I ever had a cabin in the woods.

It couldnt have been a skinwalker because they are only on Navajo land. It could have been another type of shapeshifter as every Native American and Native Canadian tribes have different types of shapeshifters that arw very similar, but in ways differwnt at the same time. For example the Ojibwae have the Bearwalker, the Cherokee have the Ravenmocker, and the Wampanoag have the Puckwudgie just to name a few different shapeshifting entities. Depending on what tribe's land the cabin is on will determine what shapeshifting entiry they are dealing with.

Are people really this crazy? Ive got a 5 yr old girl myself, and she is very smart and aware of everything around her. If she were to tell me something like this, i would 100% be on high alert. She doesn't bs me at all.... yeah, she has her moments, but i can see right through the bs as she is a jokester at times. There's no way i could ignore my daughter coming up with a story like this... id be all over it

Once again,we see Canadians unable to defend themselves due to the absurd laws regarding firearms. I’m not sure if a gun would have an effect on some unknown paranormal entity ,however I would rather be armed than not in a situation like this. Canada has incredible wilderness with wildlife that includes dangerous predators in abundance. I for the life of me can not understand the logic of Canadian gun laws.
Yeah it's about power..they would rather have there citizens unarmed and facing God knows what than have there own firearms to defend themselves. It's absolutely ridiculous and just cruel. To have such wide open miles of wilderness and if trouble comes calling, no police is coming to help you and yet they would allow there own ppl to not be able to defend themselves whether it be by wild animal, human or in this case, possibly non-human...the logic there is insane
