Top Tip. loose the fear of falling in the water, by getting into the water and getting wet. If you have a wet suit or swim gear, you will then know there is nothing to fear. Once back on your board, you will have zero anxiety about falling in ,and you will instantly start to feel more in control of your board. Your will gain confidence in no time.

I am this person. I’ve been in the sea a few times and never fallen in. I need to man up and jump in haha. I’m a bit wary of how easy it is getting back on your back after your in water where you can’t touch the bottom

Not clenching feet was the major thing that helped me. Went out for my fourth time ever this morning, in less than idea conditions. Relaxing my feet gave me so much more balance! Thanks for the insight!!!

I’m new to the sport. Yesterday I went 15 minutes without falling in. Drove home dry! Yippee.
    Great video. Thanks.
I’d add: tighten your core and butt when you think you are losing your balance. And don’t look down.

@@mtgne5351 I have purchased a balance board so that I can improve my confidence on the board. I will make a video over the weekend and post it. In just a week I had improved a lot, my lower legs are much improves as has descending stairs which was a problem in the mornings before they had 'warmed up'

@@ReddevilsFanNGainz86 I'm going to buy my first SUP soon and I'm almost 67. Been working out regularly for 34 years so I could keep doing these kinds of things in retirement, among other reasons. I might start slowing down a bit in my late '80's!
