If you want a 'true' retro that is as close to a classic as you can get without buying one, then this looks like a good option. It looks fantastic in orange - the only fly in the ointment is from the competition, the Triumph Street Twin. That bike has more power, much more torque, similar looks, huge service intervals and is put together well. Yes, it is more money, but knowing the UK the Enfield will be £6000+ rather than the £4000-4500 it 'should' be.
The mudguards/fenders are wrong especially the front, you don't want mud thrown up onto the engine to block the cooling fins! Never mind, I always expect to make changes to any bike I buy till it suits me. As long as they got the engine right, the rest I can deal with myself. Wish the petrol tank seam wasnt visible, spoils the lines a bit but thats doable too. Overall its the bike I most want of whats out there.
Depends on 1. price 2. build quality and reliability. The previous Royal Enfields (Indian ones) are notoriously low end build quality. Can they overcome the crap build quality? It looks good but can it cut it with Japanese and European build quality very high how can they compete? A 3 year warranty is good, let's see.
I think the critics would agree to try the suspension adjustment if they were given a kind of friendly direct order by RE. I am reading about a wallowy rear from writers who don't quite seem to have tried the adjustment.

Why dont they do these things with classic bullet design. I mean interceptor and continental are worst looking bikes. Their sales in India is almost negligible compared to bullet
I think RE are looking at this bike to start an export drive in Europe and North America where prices will be considerably more expensive than in India and increase RE profits. This bike was conceived and designed in England where RE have invested in a new high tech R&D facility. I would expect this is just the start of a new range of RE products being designed and developed in England for a global market
Underpowered for 47 bhp only ...for sure..

How would you define an honest review?
@Its Me Again ! True.. Guess we need to wait for a more detailed review when the bike is here in India then.
These launches are to create a positive buzz and media is invited by RE and they roll along coming in from different countries.
