@@petelopez5826 I only use the mount in Alt/Az mode. But the large ball head is fantastic to get the mount accurately leveled much easier and precise than adjusting tripod legs etc.
Not when mount is in Alt/Az mode, as this video shows how to use mount in Alt/Az mode, not EQ. Alt/Az mounts do not need to be polar aligned - only EQ mounts.

What? Zero position? Great for your living room. Don’t you need to polar align to even get close to a target?
