Remember when people complained and stopped watching star trek because of enterprise and their main gripe was the intro song and a slow but not bad first season? It's because of y'all we had to wait ten or more years with no star trek only to have the horror of discovery jammed down our throats?!? Enterprise is my favorite star trek series and it should have got a much longer run.
I have found every Alex Kurtzman vehicle unwatchable and that's being kind. I lasted 2 episodes of Discovery and 20 minutes of Picard... I'd been a Star Trek fan since it's first transmission on UK TV in July of 1969 and Kurtzman managed to trash and totally destroy a show I once loved...... How this talentless hack was every allowed near any franchise is a mystery to me....... Bad Robot should be renamed Killer Robot.....
Let me make an analogy. If someone shoved a pile of dog crap in your face and told you if you eat it you'll get delicious cake afterwards.... WOULD YOU DO IT? The opening song was effing terrible. You can't blame people for changing the channel and not wanting to see what was next. I used to have to mute the show and wait till the song was over so I could watch it. That's how much I hated it. Also, the whole Xindi plot lasted too long. That was the final nail in the coffin.
Discovery is pretty good different if you don't like it don't watch it.
Remember that NBC replaced the original Star Trek with the stupid Laugh-In.
@@pauldavidson5251 I agree. I'm glad I gave "Enterprise" a 2nd chance and watched it when I could. I liked it more than "DS9" and "Discovery".

@@TheBigExclusive No. Its just how this person sometimes edits action scenes. Montaging them together. Most of the vids are just a straight unedited scene.

Literally was the best star trek series and im a big trek fan. This was literally the only Star Trek where the good guys weren’t guaranteed to win every time or always had the best technology. In Enterprise earth was like the backwater of the galaxy in terms of other space fairing species. It was actually so refreshing and in my opinion cooler.
T'Pol became significantly more attractive after Jolene Blalock embraced the idea of giving T'Pol a fully Vulcan appearance. (And, of course, ditched that first season wig)
She was attractive regradless. However, what I loved about the Enterprise storyline was how her character expanded upon Vulcan culture as the series went on, it was brilliant. The way the relationship between T'pol and Trip developed, despite cultural difficulties, was truly comellingt.
Season 4 Episode 4 Borderland.
Loved this episode. I really enjoyed seeing The Big Show as a Orion.

Enterprise had pretty good CGI, but would it have killed them to make the disruptors actually pivot on their mount at 2:30?
Unfortunately due to low ratings, Enterprise had their budget cut down during this season. The Production crew had to be very careful with their limited funds and how to spend it.
Yes. The CGI artists were held at gunpoint by Paramount and forced into doing crappy work.
Enterprise is my favorite Star Trek series.
My husband and I adore Enterprise; the theme song used to make us nauseous until my sweet husband came forth with alternate lyrics for the line : "faith of the heart"

Weird that people complained about enterprise as it was exactly the start of the federation complaining about the time travel while Original series and movies did it on multiple ocasions , TNG on several including first contact. DS9 well who didnt time travel . and voyager made it in to a habbit, after almost 2 decades of startrek TNG, DS9 and voyager and several movies . people got startrek fatigue.
Atleast Enterprise got one more season than the Orginal startrek and deserved atleast a 5th season, an 7 perferable as the others got.
The problem with the Temporal Cold War thing is that it just felt like it was just... there... like they really didn't know what to do with it. Berman and Braga wanted to do the prequel, but the studio would have preferred the safe route of doing a series set 100-200 years from the TNG era. The studio let them do the prequel as long as they somehow tied the future into it, plus to try and create tension as they felt a prequel be harder to do without it. Thus we get the Temporal Cold War thing that felt like it was just there.
Enterprise had cool looking Klingon ships.
Whoever edits these enterprise clips needs a photo torpedo up the exhaust port.

This is a different Klingon design from Enterprise - it has guns at the end of the wings as well as on the head. The one Duras had only had nacelles at the end of the wings.
It did look different than the "Bounty" Kirk's crew acquired in "TVH". Didn't the Klingons steal the Romulan ship design?
@Virginia Connor No. At the time (in story), despite them having been longtime adversaries, the Klingons and Romulans started trading weapons and ship tech. In the real world, what happened first is Romulans were shown using Klingon D7s to save money because the original Bird of Prey model had been destroyed. Then years later in the movie era, the adversaries were going to be Romulans in what became "Bounty", but it was switched to Klingons because Klingons were more popular and it was justifiable from the earlier idea of the trade deal.
Every Klingon"Bird of Prey"from day one to as we speak,has had cannon's at the Wing Tip's.
@@craigbosko2229 Actually, Klingons are still supposed to be mortal enemies with the Romulans, at least in the expanded universe(s). They shouldn't have birds of prey at all, yet, unless they did still the design back then, even if they did trade for them/buy them in the "future" (Kirk era).
@@craigbosko2229 Yeah exactly. Every type of bird of prey had guns on it's wingtips, NEVER nacelles. It was only the klingon cruisers (D7, Vor'cha, Neg'var, etc) that had nacelles on their "wings". But i'd argue that in those designs the wings aren't really wings anymore but more like structural supports or even part of the main hull.
You can't see anyone being kidnapped, just ships being shot and flying, no way to know what's happening

@TheBigExclusive wrong. YT is full of vids with complete scenes. You can even watch an entire episode of a show, but it is broken down into parts.
IT IS CALLED FAIR USE. You are referring to the early days of people posting clips from shows. Courts ruled against the music and movie industries yrs ago.
@@tryagain8003 Fair use is the right to use a copyrighted work under certain conditions without permission of the copyright owner. Certain conditions does not mean any condition, like reposting without modification. Also, the copyright owner can always call a strike against you, even if it is not warranted. It's up to you to prove otherwise.
I suspect they allow this because it's essentially advertising for the show. I wish that they would include the episode season and name in these videos.

@@S.E.C-Phoenix The usual backstory is that the Klingons had better ship designs so they traded for cloaks which is why early Romulan ships looked like Birds of Prey.

In the first two seasons Enterprise was equipped with special torpedoes that looked like rockets. Later it was upgraded to the new photon torpedoes ( noted as Photonic Torpedoes) before venturing to the Delphic expanse to confront the Xindi in the third season. Duras was not expecting these new weapons with antimatter warheads and got overconfident and his Bird of prey was destroyed along with him.

@@Rexerman89 Spacial torpedoes = the ones that looked like rockets. They launched the ship early before the targeting systems were calibrated. No phase cannons either. Those got fabricated by the crew.
The later photonic torpedo got installed at the end of the second season when the Xindi attacked. (not sure if it’s different from photon torpedoes) Oddly the torpedo armory set still had the rocket style spacial torpedos along with the newer ones.

Season 4, Episode 15-'Affliction' Dr. Phlox was kidnapped in order to attain his help for a cure to a Klingon virus. The story ended in the next episode, 'Divergence'. I liked her lighter and softer hair better-though it was still a wig. Was she wearing contact lens too? Someone said Jolene had blue eyes. Not everyone who is blonde has blue eyes.

Um you have the eps mixed up. This is the Augment storyline, not Phlox getting kidnapped
The denoblolian pilot in the shuttle was a female researcher who was going to be stationed at cold station 12, Soong and Augments later used the pilot and shuttle to distract Archer during his pursuit of them. Stranding the shuttle between two gas layers of a gas giant making its rescue time-consuming and difficult.

That was only the Constitution refit, as explained in TMP. They had to draw power from the warp engines to use the most recent phaser technology of the time.
Enterprise was a decent show. I did not like the time wars...because it was not necessary to the story. It was useless fluff. But overall, I liked the show.
And Porthos was my favorite crew member. Closely followed by T'pol and her excellent bum.

Warp combat has always been possible 'in canon', there's even a couple of example in TOS.
@@Thurgosh_OG Usually just with torpedoes since they can sustain the speed if launched at warp. For the most part Phasers were used at sub-light.
They helped the Enterprise fending off the two attackers and then on their turn being destroyed by the ones they saved. Missing out something here?
If you haven't seen the episode since asking this, the Klingon ship was crewed by Genetically augmented humans. They docked with Enterprise to rescue their creator Dr. Soong and then tried to make more augments

I loved ST: Enterprise watched it every week. The only gripe I have was seasons 2 and 3 was to long with the Xindi War. Would have been happy if it only took 1 season to do it. Can someone please tell me why Gene’s son is trying to destroy Star Trek, with Strange New World & Discovery YUCK !!!

So they shoot at, and destroy, a Warbird. No very convincing. The ship explodes, and yet there are no bodies suddenly flung into space. Killed in the hundreds? Possible a drone?
For a Vulcan T'Pol as well as other actors/actresses in the series portraying Vulcans appear too emotionally expressive . Ruined it.
