@@ChiliDippaGolf It was quite a challenge, I was the assistant pro here back in the early 80's and Nick Faldo turned up and played, I caddied for him and the pro played, Faldo shot 66! That was a great day I will never forget!
Now that's more my sort of golf course! It's very "British" and the contrast with the pines and scenery of Lake Arrowhead is marked. I've been kidding Simon about the need to have one leg shorter than the other to play Ogbourne Downs! You can all now see why!!! It's been great to see you guys appear on each others channel Mark, not least to show how different the courses that you play are. Please do swap again as that was great viewing.
I love everything about this course! The layout, hills, bunkers, wind, and those views are just stunning. Simon played this one so well! Love how he navigates his way thru the course and makes it look so easy. I think we are planning on doing another swap or collab. Thank you so much for the support and welcome to the channel.
@@ChiliDippaGolf Thank you. I'm looking forward to following you as I enjoy watching golf courses that are so different to what I'm used to (I play at a scruffy little links on the south coast of England called Gosport & Stokes Bay GC - where Simon filmed a couple of weeks ago, so your viewers might be interested in seeing something that is the complete opposite of Lake Arrowhead! We don't do trees, but specialise in wind!!!).
I saw that video of Gosport & Stokes. That course looks amazing. I love playing links style courses but we don't have too many around here. The best one I've played in the states is The Senator at RTJ Capital in Alabama. No trees to deal with but the wind is a definite challenge and it's very hard to judge distances. I still lost tons of ball in the rough on that course. I would love to play Gosport though. Nice that you're able to play such a cool course. I'm sure my viewers are going to enjoy seeing those courses that you and Simon play over there.
@@ChiliDippaGolf well, if you ever fancy an awayday, you know where I am, and the bacon roll machine (sorry, the wife!!!) and I would be delighted to show you links golf at its windiest! Just be prepared for 20mph winds (with gusts to 40mph)!!! Even I, an old age pensioner, can hit a 7-iron 200 yards downwind (and 100 yards max into the wind!!!). It's a completely different game, but it's good fun trying to work it out!!! I love links golf, many hate it!!! I can't think why 😱😱😱
@@nevillehubbard7347 I hear ya! Same here with the wifey. It takes a different strategy to be able to play in strong winds like. Love that when its down wind and you can club down and hit if miles! Hitting into the wind off the tee box is no fun unless your on a short par 3. Put too much spin on the ball and she gone.
Your courses in Florida seem to have more hazards than the UK , luckily we don't have to contend with your critters and snapping logs , just the Winter
The courses here in Georgia have a ton of hazards. Trees, bunkers, water, elevation, thick rough. Lost or unplayable balls are very common on some of these courses because there is so much thick brush in between the trees.
@@ChiliDippaGolf and the Bears ! They must be hard to out run in a buggy , or sprinting with a golf trolley in tow , climbing a tree probably wouldn't help either
I don't know but there's some dumbass that's on your channel that sucks at golf😂! Thanks again Simon! Your fans are the real deal and they helped to push me above 600!

Fire.
That course look really nice, especially that par 3. Nice idea to swap content.
Thanks Gary! Yeah Simon plays some pretty cool courses. We had fun doing this video swap, hopefully we will do more of these.
@@ChiliDippaGolf We will be Gary. Just getting it all planned out now.
Nice video there Simon, I was a member here back in the 80's and then from 2014-2016

Cool, you should plan a trip to Europe!

1 week. Lol

Hey Miles. I think the plan is to do a 4 way swap of some sort.
Awesome. Im down to do something together
You know Simon bogies are the norm for chilli's channel 😂. Sorry Mark 😁
🤣plenty of doubles and trips as well.
Cool concept guys!
