I had the opportunity to drive the latest Porsche GT3 at the school track of the Castellet a.k.a the Paul Ricard Driving Center.

How was the ride? I'm considering to buy this car+track combination :) did they let you shift with paddles by yourself or is it automatic only? nice driving

It was amazing. I drove several sport cars in my life (I owned a WRX STI, a Miata that I tracked, I have tried Caymans, I currently own a 997 C2S) and it's by far the best car I have ever driven.
They gave me the time to adjust everything to my liking before starting (seats, steering, mode...), and I had full control, the car was in manual with paddles. The instructor is solely there to give you insight, especially the first laps you rely a lot on his instruction "full throttle, brake now, shift up, shift down..." but as you learn the track you get more freedom and the insights they give you is there for you to go even faster
