- After the split of Malaysia-Singapore Airlines (MSA), Malaysia Airline System (MAS) was formed. After that it was renamed to Malaysia Airlines and is currently still operating under this name!

I really love the old red and white Malaysia airline livery, even the blue and red stripe then the one I see in everyday Malaysian Airline.

The wau logo from 1987 should hv been maintained. After it was flipped over during the 2010 update, the airline’s fortune seemed to go downhill.
0:14 and 1:05 are my favourite shots from this video, because it features things we will never see again: Kai Tak International Airport, DC-10 and Concorde. Oh, to be a rich Malaysian in the 80's landing in Kai Tak on a DC-10......
I miss Malaysia Airline's best 777 livery. I'm missing their 747,777,DC-10 and their MD-11. I wish Malaysia Airlines would purchase Boeing's new 777x or the 787 Dreamliner.

I miss the Heliconia livery from MAS. It's very beautiful and mesmerizing. They only painted one aircraft and eventually repainted it back to its standard livery. Additionally in 2014, the aircraft, 9M-MRD is shot down in Ukraine.

Thanks for subscribing! MAS operated the DC 10 from the 1970s till the year 2000. I also prefer the classic livery!😄😄😄

@@arifarsyad2641 no MAS was not on the list of buyers for the 777x and there r no news on any new plans on buying new aircrafts except for the 737 max which I dont even think might happen
So sad to see Malaysia Airlines today. Not like during heyday era. The time when Malaysia economy is booming, Malaysia Airlines is standing with Singapore Airlines and Thai Airways as big 3 Southeast Asian airline. When Malaysia Airlines ending their almost of European destinations except London, the future is indeed bleak even though they undergoing to recover with almost no chance to survive. Airasia is a huge threat of Malaysia Airlines when it comes to profitability. I hope Malaysia Airlines will resume to other European destinations in 2030s. If not, someday another airline will be established and replace Malaysia Airlines with full premium service. No more price sensitivity issue when buying tickets with premium service.
Yeah, it's really sad to see MAS like this now. But I'm sure MAS will rise again, just a matter of time!😊👍🏻

Nope, they retired all their B747s in 2013, now some of them are still parked at KLIA but just not in MAS colours!😊😊

@@jamespotter3792 yes, they are gonna sell it, but the government will still keep a 51% share in MAS, they will just sell 49%. There were talks about shutting it down earlier in the year, but now they have decided to sell it instead of shutting it down!

The two B747-200s parked at the remote bay was abandoned there, they will soon be removed. The B747-400s parked outside the MAS hangar are ex Malaysia Airlines B747s that came back to KL after their lease with Saudi Arabian Airlines expired, those will either be leased out again, sold or scrapped!

@@theynish Someone took the plane, it's not a mystery as western and us media want us to believe, the plane was seen in Kuda Huvado in Maldives 1 hour north of diego garcia, people saw a huge huge plane grey belly with red & blue stripes " seach on youtube for mh370 seen in maldives " the FBI is at the pilot's residence few hours after the disappearance, they took the fligh simulator and never heard anything from them again, guess why ! ! !
Someone onboad that plane should not land in bejing that morning or something in the cargo like US drone technology should not land in bejing . My heart goes out to the families
