Found a way to do second jump without grenade launcher (and HP dmg respectively). Basically, just backtrack and double-jump over big pit. Then jump to lower levels near jump platform. Then you'll find big wall, just try to climb it with double jumps. And you'll find pizza.
The hat physics is ridiculously buggy in this part of interloper. Wants to head into the sky at various parts. Anyway, made it past the garguanta chase with both hat and pizza, but now it seems impossible to get both items through a 1 way suction vent into the vortigaunt work area... Were you able to get both items there somehow?
I guess they changed it. Now the riverway is patroled by Gargantuas and there's no way to get past 3 Gargantuas in narrow riverway. So I don't think It's possible anymore.
It's possible to do this without any explosive boosts. For the first jump back you need to do some weird pseudo out of bounds stuff, but if you turn to the left you can kinda force yourself up on some funky collision, and from there you can make it back. The only other part I needed to do anything weird was getting back from that little fall at the beginning, where I just kinda long jumped against the wall to get up. Side note, you can actually skip falling down that part at all. It's possible to force yourself up the wall where the other Gargantua is banging on (he isn't actually hostile, funnily enough), and from there you can get up the other side and hop down straight to the items capsule. Maybe not too useful for speed, but it does skip a good deal of hazards! Potentially useful if you need as much health as you can get to boost through some angry aliens on the way back.

For future watchers, you can go forward a ways (till the skull-like water pools), then come back and Gonarchs are gone

I managed to jump back without any explosive.
0:40, see that pointed edge on the left? You can also climb up there and jump back without explosive.

Go to the skull-looking area with pools of water, and they'll be gone when you come back.
seems like bring both at the same time would be X4 times as long walking back instead of X2 as long just doing it twice.
