Yes, I have always loved your skincare reaction videos! I love that they are supper funny and entertaining, but also full of education. I like the reaction videos!!! I feel like you can do both this format and reacting to an entire video. Sometimes it’s just too good and we need that whole reaction. But sometimes it’s not really all that juicy and there’s no need to sit through an entire routine.

I'm 42 and my mother always taught me not to over scrub and encouraged me to put my pocket money towards products with AHA or fruit acids (popular in the 90s). I've never heard of that Drs skin care system before and I was a magazine junkie! Maybe it was one of those things I skipped over.

The moisture sandwich works! I have dry skin with cystic acne (hormonal). I have a prescription trentinoin and it always made my skin so dry not matter how strong the moisturizer or how often I used it. Once I tried the moisturizer sandwich I never had another flaky dry patch. 😊
Personally I think a double cleanse is easier and faster then dealing with makeup wipe bullshit. Love you, Hyrum, and James Welsh. I learned so much about skincare. I'm almost 45 and people think I'm 28-30. You're freakin awesome!!!!

Definitely not over the skin care reactions
I'm still skeptical about the Sydney Sweeney Vaseline moment. You said it's fine to use occlusive ingredients on clean skin as long as you aren't trapping bacteria or makeup under it. She literally applied it over makeup. I'm not sold that she could remove all of the Vaseline or the eye makeup for that matter with a tissue. It works for her obviously, so it's fine. But we all know Vaseline is hard to remove. If you get it on your hands, even after washing them, you can usually still feel the filmy layer that it leaves. Much like all other things, there are people who can do it and be fine, but that doesn't mean it's effective.

But the Vaseline can work as a cleansing balm or to remove your eye makeup, I have used it to remove my eye makeup, before.
I can actually relate to Syndey. However, I got a reaction on the sides of my mouth for a while until I realized my tretinoin mix was actually the cause. So now I just use your brand sleeping mask and put the tret over it. Perfect solution 👌
I would love to watch you do skin care reaction videos on non celebrities. People like me. Who have what they think is a great regimen but maybe we are wrong and we could learn by you pointing out what we could change ect. Ect. Because most of your viewers are regular people who don't or cannot afford high end products / treat ments/ botox ect. 😁
Sometimes I will put baby oil on a cotton pad and use that to wipe my eye makeup off. Is that okay?

Thank you for telling us the facts about Vaseline to remove eye makeup. Growing up my mom always used Vaseline to remove mascara. Very old school so it’s kind of funny the younger generations are using it now.

Sydney's rash sounds like POD, and altought there's not much information on it apparently make up and over treating could make it worse. So like in set when they put on a lot of make up and change it up etc.

Yes 2% salycid acid. Cerave makes an excellent salycid acid cleanser and an excellent bha toner is Paula's choice and a cheaper version is peach slices bha toner on amazon which is 1/3 of the price. Ssme concentration. A dupe for sure. Check your moisturizer as well. Cerave makes non comedogenic moisturizers . Hope that helps.
I had that weird rash. Dermatitis. Sulfur face wash from dermatologist will clear it up.

Yeah I was 40 when I turned to makeup wipes argggggg 2 days later rash all over I got my ex boyfriend to go to the makeup shop to ask the lady what I should do you'd never believe this he came back with a mother brand. Fria they was called same thing rash so I went there she said no she said she advised him a milk cleanser,but. You need DSC pads and rub I don't remember what I did until I was advised by James Welsh to double cleanse.... I didn't double at the start cause the makeup shop I passed on her and she makes me buy the shop so I went to the drugstore chemist and the doctor gave me a ceanser with cerimides,omega 3,6 and 9
Plus halyluruc acid it's almost like shiesedo but in offer for 9€ ! Then I followed you and Robert but your my favourite.
A lot of serums have propanediol (I think it started The Ordinary serums?) and many have oils too, but this 'wisdom' of order of layering has been there even with those, so not sure what has changed now.
But I don't personally mind serums over moisturizer because, I'd use a moisturiser immediately after a shower to seal in the moisture, then leave some time before puttin on the serum, and maybe it impacts how fast it gets absorbed but I personally believe it does get absorbed by the end, all skincare does.
You did say "leave some time before putting on the serum", I think that's fine. That's different from "putting right after" which exactly what most people would do. The order of layering depends on the consistency of the product and who knows how thick or not the Dior serum is.
