White Shadow one of my favorite shows of all-time. Was 14 years old a freshman in HS when that show premiered in the Fall of 78. Never saw this commercial till now.

I saw this on ESPN in the mid 90s and laughed so hard I almost fell off the couch. Brilliant homage to my childhood.

We had a weak side offense, you almost never see that.

Indeed it was...a "T V Show", but a great one that dealt with current issues(at the time-many...still relevant); Coach Reeves had many good intrinsics as the coach and...Coolidge actually appeared to be a very good player. Look closely at Coolidge-then or now; Looks a lot like Mikchael Jordan.

Coolidge went on to play college basketball in Boston but got injured. Ended up working as an orderly at St Eligius Hospital

I was thinking the same thing. A few of my friends and I were talking about the show and one buddy mentioned something interesting, with Thomas Carter, Kevin Hooks, and Tim Van Patten big producers, it would be great if they could actually have reunion episode where the guys come together again for Coach Reeves's funeral. I've been binge watching the show on youtube and I'm about halfway through and some of those episodes hold the test of time...great show.

@@steviem5279 That would have been great! My friend and I discussed this before. Here's a few things we came up with.
-Heyward goes to law school and stays at the firm he interviews with: eventually makes partner.
-Thorpe comes back to teach art at Carver and becomes Reeve's assistant coach eventually takes over when Reeves retires.
-Coolidge stays at St Eligius in Boston ...floor supervisor
-Salami and Battaglia go into business together (not sure what)
-Gomez is a family man putting his past behind him.... Goes to funeral and talks about nothing but his new grandchildren (possibly great grandchildren)
-Goldstein is a retired Marine Colonel
The organist at the church plays a song composed by Reese as a tribute (RIP Nathan Cook)
I would love to have seen it

@@iluvpepi Unfortunately Jackson (the character) was shot and killed during a liquor store robbery in season 2.
In the episode the team goes to City title game and coach is getting recruited to coach at a JC(??). He meets Jackson's little brother who tells about how much Jackson liked and respected him and how he can't wait to play for him when he goes to Carver.
Coach decides to stay and they win!!
      Great Episode

I actually think you are mistaken, Ken Howard actually did have a full head of hair, you seem to not know that a lot of men do go bald from hereditary and so Ken obviously was gradually losing his actual hair
