matt If we’re going to have this discussion, please, at least correct the spelling of Oregon. It’s in the top comment, and my own. Besides, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. If that’s the way you feel, well good for you I guess.
Where is the one with Stuart Scott, Kenny Mayne along with Kobe Bryant and Keyshawn Johnson (when they were younger) on giving interviews. That was a classic and should've been in this
Usually I disagree with people's own top 3 but those 3 probably got me laughing more than the others, Clayton def. #1. They could have taken the Manny/"hola" one out of the list completely and put a few more that were better than that. I liked the Sportscaster Pinch Hitter one where Keith Obermann stumbles his words, they go to commercial break and the coach takes him out against his will, he throws a tantrum, walks out and Trevor Hoffman is sitting in the seat when they return.
@@goatcheese4me There are SO many great ones it's hard to narrow the list down. It's hard to believe they've been making these since the early nineties. I tend to agree that John Clayton's was one of the funniest ever, though. There were lots during the Patrick / Obermann era that weren't in this vid.
I thought the Fantasy football one was hilarious where he guy puts the scissors in the table! Lol. I also like the New Jersey Devil elevator going down one as well.
Steve Irwin was awesome lol. Miss seeing him on tv, guy was so passionate about what he did, and seemed like an amazing person in general. Would love to have met him. RIP.
Great stuff - I would mention the Kerri Strug where they left the guy carrying her around - so many great ones - the boxer corner guy slapping the anchor who yelled "cut me!", the pairing of the anchors, where the guy said "I don't even know you anymore", the guys chipping golf balls into the satellite dish, my favorite was after Olbeman left and the guy said "put the biscuit in the basket" and broke down
being how I'm former Navy, I have a unexplained bias towards the Pirates as the best. These are THEE greatest commercials ever created and I thank the hilarious people at the network how put them together. The only commercials that I have ever been excited to see.
There are a lot of good ones but the pirates from Seton Hall, ECU, Tampa Bay, and Pittsburgh plundering the conference room (17:58) is really good, especially when you see them outside running from the building. Bucky Badger checking out photos of Wilma Wildcat (1:40) is also really good, especially when you consider she's married to Wilbur. Hooter and Baldwin walking into the glass (16:24) is not only funny but clever. Sparty and The Scarlet Knight using the blenders (19:42) is so funny. But the best are The Oregon Duck (0:35) and Miles & Blitz (11:35); they're hilarious.
"Vertical stripes. My tailor hooked me up" Steve Irwin and the Gator "Home Run Trot" Usain Bolt. Ovi. Pirates. So many great ones. ESPN doesn't have a sense of humor anymore.
All these commercials are amazing but I noticed my favorite one isn't on here, which is the one where Megatron transforms into a vending machine, lol.. Still awesome video though!
This is a good list. ESPN has made some really hilarious commercials, too many to have on one video. My favs missing from this list... - The Production Assistant (Craig Kilborn's career advise for the PA, "Two words for you: Pizza...Delivery.") - Competitive at SportsCenter (where Charley Steiner is hiding under his desk from Evander Holyfield) - Commercial Break ("The teleprompter is going too fast!...Cut me! Cut me Lou!") - The feud between the field reporters and the anchors ("Watch it bureau boy!" "Want a piece of me desk jockey?") - The Steiner for Shue Trade ("Hi Cindy. I'm Bobby. I'm the new pool boy. Wanna rub some cocoa oil on my back?)
My favorite one from years ago was where they were playing a game of trying to bounce a ball and have it land on a shelf. I've never been able to find it again though...
They had that one, where Jim Kelly followed Adam Vinateri through a metal detector at an airport and his Super Bowl rings kept setting off the alarm, that was good lol
hmmm, some of the funniests ones were missing...what about when the power goes out at SC and they go downstairs to look at the circuit breaks to find Lance Armstrong cycling the creates the power? Or the LT one where he is sorting out mail?
1. Steve Irwin wrestling the Gator 2. Jimmy Johnson breaking up the speed bump 3. Hitting golf balls into the satellite dish 4. Dan Patrick having Danica Patricks Indy car towed 5. Devil going down in the elevator 6. Manning family tour 7. Birds mascots hitting the window 8. copy machine issuing a red card
Does anyone remember the commercials they were running when the Avalanche first moved to Colorado? The players were trying to teach the locals on hockey stuff and they were hilarious. Can't fined copies of them anywhere.
Sampras as the San Diego Chicken, Arnold Palmer, the Y2K spoof and Patrick/Olbermann putting on makeup pre-show discussing hockey tough guys needs to be in there somewhere.
0:47, This image should be framed as one of the greatest ESPN commercials of all time, so simple that the entire commercial can be summed up in one picture, amazing.
I didn't see my favorite with Joe Montana working in the ESPN kitchen cafeteria. They then switch to the tables where the tv analyst are eating, when one pulls out of there food, a Super Bowl ring, "bling bling".
Ah man I can think of at least a few that should be on here. The Celtics one with the “Boston three party” nickname thing, the “hip hip Jorge” one, and the georges st. Pierre octagon one.
The Devils mascot in the elevator is one of my all-time faves, but where is Brian Wilson's beard? That one over the Michael Phelps, and Arnold Palmer is missing. They also left out Drew Brees and the float trying to enter the ESPN parking lot gate.
It's ironic that I cut out cable, solely to avoid ads, and this is what i am currently indulging in..
Sweet delicious irony.
Sucks they don’t make these no more
These aren't ads, they're mini masterpieces.
Nostalgia is a mfer
Lol at 3:23 am for me
Steve Irwin wrestling the U of Fla mascot never gets old. The NBA tour bus ads were good. Didn’t know Richard Simmons filmed a spot.
Once these went away, that's when SportCenter went down hill.
Agreed. These are classics. I swear these are some of the best commercials of all time. Whoever is responsible for them deserve a raise.
matt I actually saw a few some years ago, but when i was watching sports center recently, I haven’t seen them.
Yep
The one when Manny said “Hola” and they responded by saying “what does that even mean?” “That’s Manny being Manny” killed me
The Oregon Duck will always be my favorite...so simple, yet so brilliant
Thanks, from a Eugene native, and Oregon Ducks fan.
The simpler days lol
My favorite along with the Albert-Steve Irwin one xD
matt If we’re going to have this discussion, please, at least correct the spelling of Oregon. It’s in the top comment, and my own. Besides, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. If that’s the way you feel, well good for you I guess.
1. Clayton
2. The Pirates
3. Steve Irwin
Rip to the legend Stuart Scott
Rip
@Fuzzy Butkus yeah, he passed in 2015
He was an innovator and legend in this space!
Yes So Sad. Booyah!
Yes
Rip Steve Irwin
RIP Stuart Scott
Rip both
I laughed the hardest at that one. Steve really sold it.
We're aware
They left out the Arnold Palmer in the cafeteria one.Mixing the ice tea and lemonade.
airguy71 my favorite one!
I also like the one where Linda Cohn is in the parking lot and there is a lot of traffic. She hits her horn and yells out, "Don't you know who I am?"
Disappointed the Arnold Palmer clip wasn't on the list.
Yep, that one was a big omission as well as the Scott Van Pelt PED one. I think #13 is my favorite here though.
Oh yeah that one is really good
Devil in the elevator is the best. Gets me every time.
Surprised we didn’t have John Randle’s y2k, that one was epic
😁
Back when ESPN was good and really worth watching!
It's still pretty damn good--the best source for sports, interviews, hilites, and news. All other network sports coverage blows.
@@dbix11 was with you till you used the word woke, corny ass mf there wasn’t even any woke shit in the comment
Dude it's still espn. Every generation acts like everything before the next generation was so much better. Shut up

Lance Armstrong peddling the bicycle in the basement to power the building was one of the funniest ones and it wasn't on the list at all.
My guess would be because he is a fraud of an athlete? Good for him he beat cancer but meh on giving that guy any props.
Agree
@@markgrill2026 Was still pretty funny.
@@markgrill2026 I mean everyone was doping during that race, it's just that Armstrong was the one who got the most attention.
They found out later he was using a generator for that commercial.
The Swedish Chef and Big Tim Timmy Jim will always be my favorite
Kruppt808 Haha 😂 Swedish Chef 👨🍳 is definitely underrated! “I’ll have a hamburger 🍔 “
"HEY Big TIme TImmy Jim, whats UP!"
".......sigh."
Those are all good, but the best ever was the Y2K commercial. "Follow me to Freedom!!"
Props to the writers, the real hero’s behind these great segments
Steve Irwin got robbed at #18 easily top 3 on my list, Ill watch that one over and over
Wasn't expecting to see Steve Irwin. miss that guy.
@@ugaladh he was so awesome :(
John Clayton ranked WAY too low.
MA! I'm done with my assignment!!!
Abso-freaking-lutely.
Truth dude! That is definitely top 3!

Where is Clemens at the copy machine photocopying K's. I'm gonna be awhile...CLASSIC

22:43 I would’ve put that David Ortiz ad at #1, I was dying 😂

“4 years since the last butt fumble”
😂😂😂
Mike Rotch LOL! I’m gonna be laughing forever!
Uncle B. That was awesome! Because poor Sanchez will be the only one ever😂
Needs a new sign next to it that says "30 days since last butt punt"
The fact that Albert Pujols isn't on this list is a crime!
They should bring these commercials back in 2019 or 2020
they could never make them as good as these
They occasionally still break them out
To many annoying women

21:20 Manning Family tours ES:PN - my favorite.
Another one I like is Danica Patrick's Indycar getting towed in "D. (Dan) Patrick's" Space. I found that one hilarious.
Classic 'This is SportsCenter' commercials were so good.
"Vertical stripes. My tailor hooked me up"
Steve Irwin and the Gator
"Home Run Trot"
Usain Bolt.
Ovi.
Pirates.
So many great ones.
ESPN doesn't have a sense of humor anymore.
The Joe Mauer and SVP clip by far gets slept on, one of my favorites.
Great list. Could have also included Arnold Palmer, the closer, and LT sorting mail.
The one where he doesn't include the S in the quick brown fox jumped (jumps) over the lazy dog(s) always bugged me a little lol.
Thats a classic number one, but what about charlie steiner “follow me to freedom” and hollyfield “Charlie come out and get your whoopin”
This needs the one where Westbrook is driving the bus but accidentally wears the wrong glasses(with actual lenses). Freaking hilarious!
Damn I really need an Office-Styled show about ESPN and have different athletes cameo every episode, would have been funny
All these commercials are amazing but I noticed my favorite one isn't on here, which is the one where Megatron transforms into a vending machine, lol.. Still awesome video though!
6:45 Judge looks like he told himself "Not a good idea"
1. John Clayton
2. Steve Irwin (close second)
3. Silent mascots
You missed the one where the two anchors try on Urban Meyer's ring and look in Oregon's playbook.
Thanks for the compilation man, really awesome stuff at one place!
We all miss Stuart Scott he had some of the best This is Sports Center commercials ever
Saw the one with Ovechkin and Varlamov and was gonna comment that I though it should be the real #1 - and then the clip stopped...
Steve Irwin 18?? No way. That was the best one ever.
The Jon Clayton and Steve Irwin ones get me every time lmfaoooo

That's sad.
Rip my memory
Rip Stuart Scott
Rip Steve Irwin
Rip sports center with trash now
#24 still puts a smile on my face. Hope Giannis gets an ESPN commercial soon!
Pirates one is hilarious
That Steve Irwin one is top 5; talk about crossing categories.
The Swedish Chef one always cracks me up.

Oh shit how did they forget that one? That should be in the top 10. Same with the Ladanian Tomlinson one, delivering the mail.
"Why didn't you eliminate them Albert."

1. Steve Irwin wrestling the Gator
2. Jimmy Johnson breaking up the speed bump

4. Dan Patrick having Danica Patricks Indy car towed
5. Devil going down in the elevator
6. Manning family tour
