As an artist and also having been involved in an indie band in the past, Ryo's mindset is very important as a foundation in writing songs to not be a poser and just follow the market flow, because Ryo and we are indie bands believe that "The Market Can Be Created". Yeah, Ryo is an idealist.
Facts, there's always a new market to be created. It's always better to create something different than follow the norm, and who knows what you create will become the norm in the future. She is truly a bassed idealist
Ryo easily my fav character in bocchi is relatable and funny (has some of the best scene's ngl) but honestly her music standpoint is soooo real. Its how i see music as a musician (funny enough also as a bass player) rly well put together vid, so many true and valid points

I love this analysis, I didn‘t even notice it was over 30 mins but the way you went into detail about everything made her seem like a real person because she can be relatable to so many in the creative industry/ anyone who just loves to create. Wether that be fashion, music, art literature, anything people will always feel pressured to fit in because somehow no one is normalizing standing out and having a personality. And the way you illustrated that? My god it felt like I was watching an analysis of a very historical book not a 12 episode slice of life music anime. Also about the characters depicting their instruments, bass is always overlooked („quiet“ loner) but without it something feels like it‘s missing (uniqueness/ the bond between everyone) Really great video man keep up the good work I love my silly little band

I'm really appreciate that you made the distinction between a loner and lonely. I definitely have felt being lonely in high school and relate to bocchi in retrospect, even though I was with people. My former friends didn't really see me as equals, using my interests and eccentricities as the butt of jokes, flanderizing me as "the cringe and horny weeb." Years later, having graduated high school, I'm more happy to be with friends who are supportive of my interests and laugh with my eccentricities, rather than tear them down.

I wish things can be better right now, but I know I at least have friends who'd rather make absurd jokes and make dumb quotes, along with being willing to listen to each other's interests. The distinct difference in loner and lonely also made me think of Mike Collins the module pilot of Apollo 11. Farthest away from humans, in space, not lonely. Meanwhile so many people cannot form a connection, living in the most densely packed cities.
After watching this video, I've realized what made me stand out from the rest of my classmates in a year-long literature project that our teacher assigned us to do. Most classmates didn't like doing it because was "too hard", but I just kinda went my own way and did what I liked. It was a surprise for me when my teacher actually encouraged me to keep on developing my thing, and then on, started rating my work higher as I got better. Then, my friends started complaining to me because I was writing stuff that seemingly had nothing to do with the project, but still had good grades. I think it was because I wrote everything without any fear of what my teacher would think, mainly because I had no clue of what to do with the project. And because I actually liked doing it, I put in a lot more effort into it than I would've otherwise. This video made me connect the dots! So, yeah, thanks for that...
