I really like it but, yeah, it’s a bit expensive. Is the under armor made of steel? For a lot of armor, lifted with 33” tires and standard accessories, MPG is pretty impressive. This is way better buy than the TRD pro.
Not sure if you knew the windows are special acoustic windows , they have sound deadening and I believe are only found in the Trailhunter and maybe Pro
What's surprising to me is that so many people, including reviewers, miss the point of the hybrid drivetrain. It's exclusively for adding torque, not better mileage. The electric engine is paired between the transmission and engine, not at the wheels, to add more torque. So it should not be surprising that it's quick to drive but has poor mileage.
The thing that stands out to me is the lack of a sturdy metal front bumper. That left and right corner on the front look so low they are going to scrape first. They got a great ARB rear on this why not get a matching front?
“My knees were up to my nipples.” First time I’ve heard leg room described this way. 😂😂😂😂 Also, those gas ⛽️ Rotopax will come in handy with the “range” of 350 miles per tank! Great that the ARB is there! Load up! 😂👍🤘🏻

Toyota is pricing themselves out of the market. I haven't seen a single Trail Hunter on the road. The only place I see them is on You Tuber's channels.
With interest, assuming a person finances this thing, you'd be paying over $70k for softex seats, no rear vents, smallest rear leg room in the class, no frame mounted bump stops, and a 4 banger for an engine. What is there to like?
65k for something meant to be in the woods getting beat up and dented? No thanks but looks nice for those mallcrawlers getting their pumpkin spice lattes.
@@michaelfincham2749 that bump stop design is same as ford bronco Sasquatch package. Can get a used Bronco with Sasquatch package cheaper than this and certainly cheaper than delayed 4Runner
It's not good on fuel. But is expected to maintain its fuel economy when weight is added to the truck such as bed rack and camping gear. But still expensive to buy and expensive to maintain afterwards. When things start to break the cost to repair, I assume, would be ridiculous.
Good looking truck. WAY WAY too expensive and there is issues with the transmission and the suspension shock mount will bust through and break. Forget about it.
Transmissions were only on certain builds, and there's a TSB for that. If your VIN is on it and you have issues, they're swapping it out. Current builds will be fine. Not having a bump stop on the front suspension is dumb, though.
No frame mounted bump stops! 30+ yrs now ✂️ corners! Sad to see Toyota doing these type of things! Makes you wonder what else they cut corners on they sure the hell did the labor being 💯% Mexico made
0:29 yeah nope not blended in at all . funny re 1440p tho. one of the reasons I'm a fan of the channel. another is that dude is just so freakin Wisconsin. I know that and I've never been north of Chicago. That extra $10K is for the people at Toyota who had to learn Spanish for plant visits to where Taco's built. in Mexico. If able to swing it I'm holding out for the 4Runner (not the trail hunter; this basic b absolutely needs a sunroof, and prob. not a snorkel); it seems to look exactly the same when you're sitting in driver's seat. But that safari window man. Oh and it's built in 🗾.
Annnnd... Made in Mexico with cheap ass labor, with the crazy high price, Hard Pass!! Oh, and no front bump stops causing blown out struts, failing transmissions .. 😂

@@fastdude2002I’m thinking same thing. Last GM car we bought was a 90’s Saturn, which started burning oil & fouling plugs at 40k miles. Yet, I’m still thinking of a loaded Colorado or Canyon 😮
What’s so good about it? It’s cramped, build quality is mediocre as is fit finish, tech is old, payload isn’t tops nor is towing, it’s not that quick, it’s boring to drive, and it’s way overpriced.
