One thing I don't like about Europe are the beach clubs, basically charging people to sit on the beach on a beach chair. Here in Australia the beaches are incredible and they're all free, and then you can just pay for whatever food and drink you actually want. Privatization of beaches is kinda crap IMO
Plus it’s a rocky beach!! Give me some soft sand.
That beach club pricing was insane!
You can for sure do public beach for free and just pay for your own food in Italy. Actually most of the beaches are public with just a section dedicate to beach club. Amalfi coast is just a bit specific due to big amount of people and the nature creating rather small and secluded beaches, it's completely different in other parts of Italy.
Moreover those beach clubs are for when you don't want to be in a crowded spot with a lot of other people as a huge amount of tourists come to Italy in summer and they basically flood the area. Just a matter of comfort not a necessity :)
Europe has thousands of beaches that are unorganised and free to the public. You just went to the touristy places probably
Hey, private beaches in Europe are the exception, not the rule. However, Italy, particularly in the south, is run by the mafia, so I am not surprised it is a thing there.

300 eur per person is a ripoff for tourists.. hahaha. NO Europeans would ever pay that, it's absolutely 1000x inflated.
Imagine all the trees that have been chopped down to make the brown envelopes than are passed around to make all this possible.
Always enjoy your vlogs. Find the info you write on the screen interesting, but it often disappears so fast that I don't get it read. I'm suggesting you leave words on the screen a bit longer. Also, if your software allows you to outline the letters in black, it would make them easier to read, especially when you have white letters against white content on the screen.

So exciting! Italy is an amazing trip! I was there last year, so this was a fun one for me to watch. There are definitely better priced beach clubs worth checking out. Honestly, I don't think I ever even came across one that expensive.

We just went to Italy in May... We were trying to decide between Cinque Terre and the Amalfi Coast. In the end, we decided on Cinque Terre (overall because it was closer to the other cities we were visiting) We absolutely LOVED it! No regrets whatsoever. That being said, Amalfi area looks amazing, hoping to hit it up next time. :)

I loved the Amalfi Coast and Naples (Pompeii is definitely worth a visit too), but $300 for a chair on a beach and a bit of food?? That's insane. I paid like a tenth of that for one in Fiji that was on a private island (the whole island was the beach club) and it had so many more amenities, pools, beach toys and kayaks etc.
The Amalfi Coast one of the most stunning areas in Italy. Makes me want to travel (move?) there now.

I'm Italian and 300$ for thar beach club is insane 😳
I mean, it was definitely beautiful and in a very good location, but where I go, beach clubs are usually like 10 to 20 euros per person for the whole day. Lunch and drinks aren't included, but still, it's a lot less money

wait - you had 1 hour before the airport, and in that time, you: 1. finished packing. 2. went to target (!!!). 3. bought a gourmet sandwich and ate half of it. 4. showered and washed your hair (and dried it??).
Just ONE of those activities would take me the full hour (and probably more)!! that's incredible. I'd be in a sweaty, red-faced panic and running late if I tried to do ANYTHING 1 hour before leaving for the airport. I need to channel you on my next travel day - you're so calm!! i'm always a huge, late, discombobulated mess no matter how much pre-planning i do! (ADHD curse)
Same! It’s a problem for me every time I travel. I’m a wreck until I get on the plane. I’ve gotten much better No way I’d be packing day of. I admire how calm she is too.

usually one of us stayed with the stuff! In my hotel room I put my laptop under my pillow just in case when I leave lol

@@xoxjelloxox Make a color copy of the identity page and a copy of the page with the entrance stamp (if they gave one) and you'll be fine. Keep the actual one somewhere safe at your lodgings as to not risk losing them or having them stolen.

I wanted to but you never know what a stray cat has - I know people who have been bit and then got a rabies vaccine just in case and i didn't want to deal w that on my trip haha
@@shelbychurchvlogs You don't have to worry about cats with rabies in Italy! I always pat cats overseas, I just sanitize my hands after if they look a bit dirty. Friendly, well-fed cats who look like they are being cared for are fine

Looks nice. some kind of robotic vacuum cleaner for the turf court might be good so they represent Europe well when the cute american instagram girls come to visit :)
Maybe I'm just boring but I think the only civilized way to lounge on the beach is full shade capability. Just a round umbrella where you have to move around constantly is so uncivilized. We know sun is pretty bad so why voluntarily sizzle on a grill when it could be nice and comfy :) has to be some kind of flat cover over the beds. First one to do it right and everyone else has to follow.
