i found after installing my carbon fiber intake that the filter box would rattle off the fender wall when driving no matter how tight you screwed it down. Every clamp was tight but still got tapping noise. I ended up removing the air box and along the bottom where it would rest against the inner fender wall, placed rubber gasket strips to prevent the slight movement... worked!

Does it really adds 20hp with no tune?

Go with the injen closed box I love mine and noticed a difference. Two biggest differences I noticed were that intake and E85 tune (done at seperate times)

Didn’t see a huge difference, did end up with a check engine light, so I switched back to the factory intake. This honestly seems like a money grab and not worth it without a tune.

I have this on my 19 GT and am here to tell you, getting the air filter into the box is painfully difficult. I swear it took me almost an hour because the rubber sleeve kept wanting to fall out and the fitment is so type that you have too get it to the perfect angle to fit properly. I have noticed a slight gain in hp but I'm sure a tune would be worth it to get the full potential. Also, removing the sound tube from the firewall is way easier said than done. I just removed it half way and plugged off the end of the tube. Definitely worth the price and it really makes a difference in the sound.

An hour to get the filter in? I sprayed a tiny bit of loose nut on and got it on in about 30 seconds. Like I say in my shop … lubrication… cause she needs to enjoy it too.

Does not adding the grommet into the sound tube hole effect anything

The provided grommet is absolute trash, had to buy some others from Advanced Auto.

I literally just installed this 45 min ago on a 2020 they also left out the part where the sound tube on the firewall is also held in by a bolt with a grommet, and you have to yank like your going to break on that guy to get it out there’s no way you’re getting to that from the top idk how old man put his hand in there too 25 min and some blood and bad words still don’t get it gave up rip

@@miatamike206 Sounds about right, I was able to get mine off of there after loosening it a bit with a universal, then I had to slowly back it off with my fingers for about half an hour, lol. Also, make sure you're not running their oiled filter, it made my system run too lean because the oil was gunking up my MAF sensor.
