I did a Corsa intake for my 2024 Chevy z71 5.3 and paired it with a Magnaflow muffler 12589 and boy does that sound good , plus you and feel the difference in the pedal acceleration…
All your doing is sucking in hot air from the engine bay. Raising you AIT and lowering performance. The closed box might not have sounded as loud but I would bet the truck preformed better with it.
I installed the Blackhawk on my 6.2 zr2. It was working perfectly for more than a month but now when I step on the gas it lags. I’ve checked all connections and everything looks to be good, would it be the computer that adjusted ?
The K&N intake is a complete kit called the Blackhawk. This intake comes with their dry filter and aluminum intake tube. The dry filter was the big deal for me since I hate cleaning and re-oiling those oil coated ones. Check out the K&N website for other options for your vehicle. You may want to go with a cheaper intake if that Blackhawk cost makes your head spin! 😂
Just ordered Corsa cat-back exhaust and Corsa Powercore Intake for my ZR2, great video man, Good stuff to know for when I'm installing The CAI... Thanks!
I just installed a Corsa sport exhaust on my 2023 Chevrolet suburban z71 6.2L? Im looking for a cold air intake system Now from what i heard your saying to go with K&N system is that what you would recommend K&N ?
@rant-n-rave7816 Yes best performance and Being heard lol I already get compliments on the exhaust sound itself. I like it loud I want to feel the difference too lol
@@PeteyPablo408 Then you definitely want the Blackhawk, you’ll feel it in the throttle/gas pedal as you accelerate, trust me. I’m selling this one shortly Pete, took it off to lemon this damn truck!

Nope, if you ever had a major issue, take it off and take it in. But if you have a good relationship with your dealer you should never have an issue over an intake.
Actually, I use AFE on my diesels and they all work great. I’ve used AFE before on my gas vehicles, but for gas, I decided to stay with these two this time. Whipple makes a good intake too. They are all about the same on sound and performance except the K&N Blackhawk. Love the dry filter on the Blackhawk too, but you definitely pay for this damn set up!

Your losing HP by sucking in all the hot air from the engine bay. GM knew what they were doing when they designed the stock air box. It suck cold air from outside the front of the truck. The Corsa system "should" make more power than the K&N. Although it's debatable if they do anything at all.
The ole “ louder equals faster theory”!!!Open box system is just sucking in hot air from the engine bay. CAI alone wont show any actual hp gains despite what the add’s tell us. 🤷🏻♂️
That’s really cool of you my man but it was American Truck who ghosted us and tricked me into buying from them then went back in their word. K&N didn’t do it, American Truck did. Thanks for watching my man!

This is why I don’t want an exhaust. I can’t hear any intake, just exhaust.
Yeah the K/N sounds the best for sure!
Appreciate your videos got me excited for my K&N Black Hawk and Borla Attak Muffler to come in.
Did you install?
K&N is a open box that's why you hear it more I love my Blackhawk because of the open box sound
Would tie corsa suck hot air becouse there is no seal between the stock bottom air box and the top corsa air box ?
The Corsa probably sounds the same but it’s in a box the K&N is more free and more free to hot engine air!
The cover-off idea of the Corsa box was a great idea. I’ve been considering doing the same. Great review.
Thanx for the video..made my mind up going with the k&n..
Lol i guess with the closed box you get less noise, but cleaner filter lol

Have you done a dyno run to see which is better? Also mpg change?
Solid video man…I’m installing K&N on my 6.2 Tahoe this weekend!

Taking the cover off defeats the cold air purpose. If all you want is sound buy an Amazon cheap kit. Same sound.
The hose clamps on the aftermarket or 8 mm the stock they are 7 mm
Hey man so im wondering whats best on performance and safety the k&n or the corsa😅

Need to upgrade you mass air flow sensor to account for the extra air in the air to fuel ratio.
What is the model number for the black hawk? I have a 2023 silverado zr2 and the k&n site didn't have it for my truck.
71-3110 - all the same for 2022 or 2023…… all made in same Mexico plant with same crap QC…..
Yeah K&N looks great but that aluminum is killing ur engine by adding more hot air..go with plastic people !
Can you give me the name of the k&n filter and I can buy it in Mexico. I'm from Culiacan, Sinaloa. Thanks

Did you ever get any cel codes after driving it for awhile
No because he disconnected his battery
Does it void your warranty?
Only is something breaks and they can prove it was your modifications that caused it
Does your ZR2 2022 makes a noise wen you shut down truck with the k and N intake
Noise shutting down? Nope, sound is normal.

71-3110 k&n blackhawk for chevy

agreed. May sound better with the open box but ya sucking hot air in for the sound diff.
Doesn’t it come with the heat shield plus the factory air tube secures into the heat shield to get the fresh air from the front.
