Truck looks great! Would argue that front and rear lockers, refreshed interior, heads up display, cooled seats, multimatic DSSV shocks, 6.2L motor, and more still separate the ZR2. Maybe not in the exterior looks department, but ride quality and capabilities of the ZR2 are in a different league. Also, I think it would be almost impossible to find a Trail Boss today for the price you paid.
7 months later lmao. But I just bought a USED trailboss. A 21 with 10k miles , so I call it new lmao. But anyway, for 47k. That used lol. They are 62k brand new. & I could have bought the new one... lol but it's essentially the same truck. For 15k less & the only thing it's really missing was the new screen on the inside that runs across.
Your bow tie on the front of your grill is all black. Mine on my RST is black with chrome trim. Where did you get the all black “bow tie” from or is it a wrap?
I'm literally going to bank to transfer a good chunk of change on a 2020 trail boss 5.3 and the truck only has just under 7k miles 🙃.. For $3k more I can buy (private sale) his warranty of 100k miles or 2031. What should I do? Any advice will be well appreciated 🙏
I'd love to go buy a TRX but there's no way I can justify an aspect of ownership. I love my Rebel and will do light mods and be happy. Even if it is 300 some HP less than a TRX.
Does the awe sound louder or quieter than the afe just wondering because I put the AFE on my Silverado but I have been thinking about upgrading to awe but I don’t want to lose how loud it is.
I have a 2021 Chevy Silverado RST 1500. I would buy everything and pay you for labor if you can get my truck like yours but I'll do all black and red. 🙏🙏
Hey, and that's just on that truck what if you guesstimated what you spent on your other truck and your Camaro it's probably enough to make you sick to your stomach. I had a 1989 Pontiac firebird with full ground effects had it for 22 and a half years. Wish I never got rid of that car biggest mistake I ever made. Anyway these are the actual numbers of what I spent on that 89 firebird. Parts and supplies $29, 800 Paid services $18, 000 Fuel costs $30,482 and that was her 22 years of fuel. My 2019 Silverado is only 3 years old I'm already at $9,000
I'm buying everything you got now, only thing is I would like to know where to buy the grill, hood, wheels, etc. Basically your whole truck and everything you don't already have in the description.
A question i have is how does anyone afford to do this stuff? I always have trouble just trying to afford anything.... I got my 2020 silverado 8 months ago for $52,000 it jad 23k miles.... A little more then a weeks pay just to pay car payments. Then there is car insurance which is about a month's pay for months
I have a question. I have followed your channel and done all the mods you have to my trail boss. I do have an issue and this is my headlights. How do I modify them? I keep getting high beamed and cussed at for blinding people. How can I adjust them since the leveling kit raised it out of the norm. I couldn’t find a video of you doing this.
All right nice video of you two. Now can we see the real one without the editing. Have you noticed any increase of her tv viewing habits? Such as “How I hid the body” And the hit new show “Husband ? What husband? And the new divorce program that’s getting all the attention “Was His”!!!
Hey you seem to know a lot about Silverados I got a 07 6.0 l 4 by 4 oil pressure light keeps going off check engine light is on I changed it changed it what seems to be the deal on that or that issue please help
Dang, that's a lot of money. And it looks like you really enjoy doing what you do that's what counts. So I decided to add up my expenses after watching your video. I'm at just above $8, 000.00, now this doesn't include motor oil, fuel additives, waxes, microfiber towels and bonnets and I'm sure dozens of little things here and there that add up overtime. I do have detailed log sheets that have a running total for all parts and supplies and and one for maintenance and paid work completed Plus one for fuel and I'm close to $10,000 on gas and my truck is only 3 years old. Hey it's just money, and I love doing stuff to my truck just like you. Most of the mods on your channel are a bit more complicated then the ones that I do on my channel. I wonder how much it cost for all my camera gear and equipment, I'm sure it's probably about $4,000 00. Yes so now you can't get mad when your wife has extra Amazon packages delivered. Looks like both of us will be keeping our trucks for a very long time we can never make back the money that we spent on it. Plus the fact that we bought ours at the perfect time, before sales tax and all the other charges that they charge you I got mine for just under $35,000 with the step bars that cost $1,000. Anyway I love your channel hope you end up getting the garage built on your property I know it's going to cost a lot more than you anticipated so that sucks. 👍👍
I’ve watched you from the beginning. This is my new favorite video. Aloha from the north shore of kauai. I can’t keep up with the mods anymore $$ but like to watch. My Silverado is finished. Wifey has always been shy or out of your videos. I live in Hawaii and have been to N & S New Zealand so I wondered what wifey was like. Yeah, she does seem cool. Put your dad and wifey on more. I’m older than your dad, I really don’t know how that happened though
Absolutely great video! I love your content and this one had me cracking up. Your wife is definitely a good sport. I regret selling my 6.2 2020 Trail Boss, but I’ll have another Silverado in the next year and will be “borrowing” some of your mods for sure. Take care!
So you didn’t have to do anything to resolve the catch can hissing? It just stopped over time? Did you get your fuel mileage back or just chalking it up to being in your head? lol considering buying one but was turned away after seeing your trouble. Def don’t wanna add one at the expense of a vacuum leak.
Fun fact is: you can’t buy this truck stock now today for the price you’ve paid originally, in addition with all the mods you have made. Congrats on the success and hard work. Looking forward to watching more videos. New subscriber from Canada!
Love your channel and all the mods ! Have a 2021 TrailBoss and I am 16k behind you ! Lol But working on it in baby steps .. Watch all your vids ,, awesome wife you have and get a kick out of your kids !!!! Keep it up !
Have you had any experience with the cylinder deactivation? On the 17 Silverado yours or a friend’s. Or am I just looking for a problem that might not be there? 25,000 miles. I have put the transmission retrofit in it. No noise’s no problems. There’s a oil catch can in there also. 2017 crew cab LTZ
i got the 2022 z71 lt 4x4 trail boss made the dealership add in 5600$ in mods on their cost 3rd truck thru the same dealership the did a 2" front lift window visors chevy gator back muddlaps toyo mt tires 20x34.3x11.2 and a stainless magnaflow muffler swap your rubbing off on my my wife hates it hahaha thank you lol
Is there a way to reprogram some of the stupid factory settings such as not allowing fog lights and high beams to be on simultaneously? Or that you can’t dim dash lights until the truck decides it’s dark enough outside? Or that it shuts off after a period of time even if the keys are in the vehicle..
So for your long tube header setup are u going to be keeping the awe exhaust on ?? I currently have a 2019 6.2 Denali and that’s currently what I’m looking to go for kooks headers but w y pipe w awe catback exhaust any thoughts anyone ?
wanted to reach out and ask about the OG Silverado, I have the exact same truck, except I have 4wd with a few different stock parts, but I leveled out the truck, but now I am looking into spacers or a drop bracket for the Dif. wanted to see if you have any thoughts on what would be good. due to my CV's needing to be replaced.
Take a really good look at the difference between them. I’ve had everything from the aluminum toppers to the vinyl only covers. The toppers even with side windows you more than likely will have to crawl inside. Your back will tell you when it's time to get rid of it. The roll-up vinyl will save you a lot of money. But not much sleep. No security! The type with a metal backing is a little better. The folders. I think that you lose so much access. If you get the ones that fold up against the glass. You really can't drive that way. Have you ever moved 4x8 sheets when it's windy? Now imagine it at 60mph. Then you have the fact that you will probably just load from the back 1/3 or 2. Which will have everything sliding to the front. Have a hook on a pole handy. This type if you get a well built one is probably right near the top for security and waterproof ness. Which leaves us the roll top. I've had two Rol-n-locks. And I think that this is the best option for just every day use. The are secure and maybe not as waterproof as a tri-fold. Infinitely easier to use and live with. Although I must admit very very pricey. Even for a manual one your looking 1600 to two thousand. Most of your water leaks come from the airflow at your tailgate. Getting sucked into the bed. A new quality tailgate seal will usually solve this problem. Good luck with what ever you choose. I'm only trying to pass on what I've experienced through the years. I hated that tri-fold so much I just gave it away bought the second roll top and a year later sold the truck. I always do everything the hard way
Awesome vid as always! You need to take your wife out for sure!! The new Silverado’s have much better interior finally. But the customization you have done to that truck is unmatched.
You did a awesome job on that Silverado. It’s beautiful !! I wonder what that labor cost would have been. Good luck with it. It looks magnificent. Your very talented. 😁
So I have a question when you come to a stop at a red light or stop sign does it seem like the truck is trying to engine brake? By staying in gear it keeps racking the pipes or is it just mine?

I say the same thing to my wife but it's your truck too we have to say whatever we have to say to get these mods done LOL
Where did you get your mirrors from on the TrailBoss
He is brave for this. LOL
sick
Chad epic content on this video and yes you are truly blessed to have a wife that stands by your side, awesome wifey. Aloha from Kansas
In the immortal words of Scooby Doo, Ruh Roh!
Real question is...how did you get it down from 56k to 44k. Currently looking to purchase a new truck so I need this tip 😂
That is what I'm wondering. Wtf.
I have the same question...
Look up Bomnin Chevrolet in Florida.
Since you have the coolest wife that supports your hobby (on her truck)....you should still giver her the date of her choice :). Ya'll are awesome.
Hit that "like" buttom for the beautiful and VERY supportive wife 😎👍
Sweet truck! Enjoying your videos. 👍
How different would these mods be on a 2016 Silverado 1500 LT z71?
I'm literally going to bank to transfer a good chunk of change on a 2020 trail boss 5.3 and the truck only has just under 7k miles 🙃.. For $3k more I can buy (private sale) his warranty of 100k miles or 2031. What should I do? Any advice will be well appreciated 🙏
It’s insane you paid $44k for that model I just traded in my 2018 for a 2023 1500 custom and I paid $44k for it…..
This was a great entertaining video with Mr and Mrs Lonestar Hawaiian!
I'd love to go buy a TRX but there's no way I can justify an aspect of ownership. I love my Rebel and will do light mods and be happy. Even if it is 300 some HP less than a TRX.
Your wife is a trip. Lol Great video. Sorry she didn't get the weekend to herself! 🤣

been drinking athletic greens now AG! for 2 years love it
I will not buy Chevy again, I am very disappointed, my Silverado didn't even reach 70,000 miles when they told me it needed a new transmission.
Hey you seem to know a lot about Silverados I got a 07 6.0 l 4 by 4 oil pressure light keeps going off check engine light is on I changed it changed it what seems to be the deal on that or that issue please help

My man love what you done with your truck. But let me ask you, what did you do for your head lights? What brand did you use
Payed 62k for a new trailboss 6.2 lt
Me too lol
Youre lucky man!!! My wife would literally kill me..
Hahaha I love this one. My favorite yet
My wife is the same. She'll let me spend as much as I want on my 2015 Silverado.
I’ve watched you from the beginning. This is my new favorite video. Aloha from the north shore of kauai. I can’t keep up with the mods anymore $$ but like to watch. My Silverado is finished. I see room for growth she was high on all her guess so looks like you can spend some more!
Precisely 👌🏽
I just picked up the AWE 0FG on FB market place for $750.. used for 1 week. All parts included!
I wish those little led light bars would work on my 2024 2500hd
That was a fun trip down memory lane with the entire cast and crew!
I finally broke down and bought lasfit headlights for my 2020 Buick encore
I feel like exhaust mods only cost would have paid for a 6.2l.
Wish I'd of gone with Silverado instead of Sierra now. Wheel fitment is so much better. Still tiny wheel wells on the new Sierra.
Absolutely great video! I love your content and this one had me cracking up. Your wife is definitely a good sport. I regret selling my 6.2 2020 Trail Boss, but I’ll have another Silverado in the next year and will be “borrowing” some of your mods for sure. Take care!
When she seen the wheel & tire price ‘ the wait wait wait’ sound like my bm cuz she was bout to lose it
bro what’s your career because you seem like you make over six figures⁉️
So you didn’t have to do anything to resolve the catch can hissing? It just stopped over time? Did you get your fuel mileage back or just chalking it up to being in your head? lol considering buying one but was turned away after seeing your trouble. Def don’t wanna add one at the expense of a vacuum leak.
100% mileage issue was in my head. Hissing went away on its own after a few thousand miles 🤙🏽
love watching your RUclips videos but all I can say is WOW 😲😎‼️
Imagine if u had to pay labor hawaiian, garanz about 25k lol
Bro had to put on the helmet because he knew his wife was going to run a fade😂
Fun fact is: you can’t buy this truck stock now today for the price you’ve paid originally, in addition with all the mods you have made. Congrats on the success and hard work. Looking forward to watching more videos. New subscriber from Canada!
You ran with that after the wheels and tires bro hahahaha hahaha switch the subject quick af
Where did you get your license plate and reverse lights
Looking to get that carbon wrap for my interior where
You guys Crack me up, Great vid young man!
At least she didnt divorce you !!! Lol ;)
In my opinion...the perfect mods for this truck and my favorite truck hands down on RUclips!
Did you forget the hub adapters?
Love it guys. Super cute awesome video keep it up!
I love that your beautiful and perfect ❤️
I'm out I thought I was watching truck video
Truck now is $20k more starting off
So the question is... do I get 1500 Silverado 6.2, or i don't get the 6.2 ..?
If I was buying the truck again, I'd get the 6.2. Nothing wrong with the 5.3, but I hate knowing there is a more powerful version out there.
@@LonestarHawaiian alright... excited I'm to go for it tomorrow... cheers
6.2 seems to be the best choice
@Mr Hood with high demand and low availability, I ended up getting a ram 2500 Cummins, it was impossible to find 6.2 crew cab with a 6 foot bed.
@@ricardosoares1611 have you had it for a month?
How do you like it?
Have to admit, that is the most bad ass truck I have ever seen.
All that money. Just buy a better truck.
I can't imagine how much it would have cost if you didn't do it yourself.
About twice that probably.
Hood is really awesome 👏 great job 👏
Love your channel and all the mods ! Have a 2021 TrailBoss and I am 16k behind you ! Lol But working on it in baby steps .. Watch all your vids ,, awesome wife you have and get a kick out of your kids !!!! Keep it up !
By the way mine is also black on black !
will do
I paid $120 for the grill light kit
It’s crazy how bad inflation is you paid $45000 for your truck I just bought a 2022 Lt trail boss for $59000
FJB come on Red Wave🇺🇸
Have you had any experience with the cylinder deactivation? On the 17 Silverado yours or a friend’s. Or am I just looking for a problem that might not be there? 25,000 miles. I have put the transmission retrofit in it. No noise’s no problems. There’s a oil catch can in there also. 2017 crew cab LTZ

what brand cold air intake was it?
62K for all those mods?!? I have a 2022 Silverado trail boss LT and I got it for about the same price!!! Dealers suck
Bad ass Fam. Love that you do all the work. Wish I had half the skills and confidence to do the work on our brand new gmc sierra. 🤷🏽♂️😂
What size box/bed is this trail boss
wait .. yall have a jc penny?
The best thing about following U is your truck is exactly like mine except the color. (Northstar blue)
I’m gonna go ahead and say based on the fact you have a really nice house, 3 vehicles and multiple kids that you’re not hurting for money.
Is there a way to reprogram some of the stupid factory settings such as not allowing fog lights and high beams to be on simultaneously? Or that you can’t dim dash lights until the truck decides it’s dark enough outside? Or that it shuts off after a period of time even if the keys are in the vehicle..
What about the graphene coating!?
So for your long tube header setup are u going to be keeping the awe exhaust on ?? I currently have a 2019 6.2 Denali and that’s currently what I’m looking to go for kooks headers but w y pipe w awe catback exhaust any thoughts anyone ?
Not bad the dealer wldve charge 90k for that truck the way it sits lol mark up is crazy beautiful truck. Almost traded my denali for it
Where did you get your hood???
Love the truck. Using a lot of your tips to customize my 2021 LT Trailboss! What type of vinyl wrap did you use on the interior?
wanted to reach out and ask about the OG Silverado, I have the exact same truck, except I have 4wd with a few different stock parts, but I leveled out the truck, but now I am looking into spacers or a drop bracket for the Dif. wanted to see if you have any thoughts on what would be good. due to my CV's needing to be replaced.

just put the same cover on my 2022 and hopefully rear bumper/exhaust next week😈😈
Do you plan on replacing the stock ranchos? If so to what? Plan on ordering the same readylift, but dont like the ride of the stock ranchos.
You did a awesome job on that Silverado. It’s beautiful !! I wonder what that labor cost would have been. Good luck with it. It looks magnificent. Your very talented. 😁
Love the video and just subscribed. I just ordered the muffler delete pipe will that cause any issues with warning lights or sensors?
lucky man
So I have a question when you come to a stop at a red light or stop sign does it seem like the truck is trying to engine brake? By staying in gear it keeps racking the pipes or is it just mine?
What about anti theft?
Isn’t a zr2 a Colorado
Can you put a ZR2 front bumper on a trail boss?
Good question. Anyone try this yet???
That bet with your kid was epic man. 😂 My wife and I just found out we’re going to be parents also.
