james avery I disagree. Trucks are so multipurpose you can customize them just about however you need or want. I see no problem having all the bells and whistles for comfortability. I also see why some don’t think it’s necessary but when it comes down to it trucks shouldn’t be made one specific way or another there’s just too many people with too many different opinions to justify having one model.

I've always loved extended cabs over crew cabs. Since I usually only use the backseat for cargo and rarely carry more than 2 passengers, I don't find all that extra weight and length to be optimal (especially because I love 8" bed length, and a crew cab with a 8" bed would be LONG).

That makes the Trail Boss with its' off road goodies at a grand more an even better bargain. My guess is that finding a V6 Trail Boss on a dealers lot might be a challenge, whereas the non Trail Boss V6 would be easier to find. Oh id take the Custom 6.2 also! I do notice a couple more differences. When in the LT, looking at the rear camera picture, sure you have slightly better resolution, with a close-up view, but no articulating single line that guides you to the ball? Plus on both the passenger side mirrors don’t need a spotter mirror, due to the fact they are both convex, in actuality big spot mirrors! I do think the small button at the instruments, that you use to scroll through the information center is very cheesy! Even in my Colorado WT, that controller in built into the turn signal stork. I'd still buy the 5.3 cause off the larger cab. I was a large bed weirdo until I realized I'm not using it commercially. So you know all the larger bed got me on my previous trucks? A pain in the ass to park and more friends asking me to help move their shit. The 6.2 is nice but turn the traction control off on the 5.3 and you can still have allot of fun. My 5.3 is 350hp and its more than plenty that I've ever needed. It offroads well, it hauls a 30ft camper well, it hauls a 20ft boat well, it overlands well and because its legal in my province it hauls the boat and camper decently too. My only complain for all GM trucks is that there should be an option for larger fuel tanks. I can't even find an aftermarket offering. Why GM? Why!?!?
