Steve is a champ for staying chill in the face of all that. If someone were to animate this match though it would be incredible. Screaming marines tripping over themselves, an atv getting shot to dust as it heroically shows up, hellblasters melting themselves, a single arc immortal electrocuting 5 units simultaneously, a squad forgetting to take their transhuman phys. Pills ... this match is a ride..
man, big up to steve for being such a sport. does make me a little sad we won't see james and michael's rematch this time around, i think in future if championships are going to be on a points aggregate we should have everyone play everyone, in this case including winner of game 1 vs loser of game 2 and vice versa :)
It would just have to be six rounds as the winners would face winners and losers fight losers as unless two people won three rounds in a row they would face all three people

@MLaak86 Well, you may joke, but the Inquisition does study Xenos. I mean, there are detailed reports of trying to figure out how an Ork even works. All to figure a better way of killing them. Even though Orks can adapt to pretty much anything, the reports become dated fast.

Positive-ish. I mean, he at least had a sense of humour about it. When you play a game where your dice are cursed and the opponents dice are blessed, laughing at yourself is about all you can do.
@@Ankhtowe i mean, not really, in Starcraft 2 tournaments a bunch of matches are called and GG'd before the 11 minute mark if the other player has clearly won, and then they move on to the next match, no point in playing a game in which you already know the result, this game was decided by the 10 min mark, Steve's deployment/composition isn't really optmal but with those rolls there was legit nothing he could do, lost way too much stuff and took out basically nothing, that is a wrap.
That's a real big "Oof", my guy. A valiant effort, to be sure, and some entertaining content to boot, but a raw deal nevertheless. I hope Steve gives as good as he got in Game 4!
This is my favorite 40k gaming channel. Great models and maps. Great commentary and relatively short video's that still manage to show the important parts of the games.

Brutal, gotta believe the redeploy is where things started to go bad, but the dice rolls just DESTROYED any hope for Steve, the show of sportsmanship is a great sight as well.

Watching Steve did actually hurt me emotionally. Not getting the Dreadnought forward is one thing, but getting beaten like a quadriplegic dog with a stick is absolutely heartbreaking. I would have probably just packed my things and went home. He is great sport for soldiering on. What a trooper.

I have nothing but love and respect for airbrush painting, but damn I love seeing a well-done handbrushed army. I'm pure handbrush work myself, so I love seeing good and interesting paintjobs and trying to reverse engineer how they went about the paintjobs.
Really entertaining even if i don't understand everything that's going on ^^. Some Close Up Camera-Shots would be nice during the shooting phase to better understand which unit is shooting which. Otherwise good work, i like the format and the commentators really add some spice to this game. Thumbs up

I regularly watch while painting and the SOUND on the DICE int he hard bottom tray... Its the reason I switched to leather dice trays and play pin neoprene mats... this is the ONLY thing I think you guys could improve on. As always, great work! keep it up and PLAY ON!! haha.
That opening volley from the necrons was absolutely terrifying. it's so rough seeing an army lose a big chunk of its combat potential in the first round like that. I'm glad Steve was a good sport about it all and managed to continue on, but oof... this was a rough matchup.
This episode was making me depressed, like every time I play against a good chapter of space marines as guard. Just the same attitude as Steve when he shouts out his weapon rules.

Even I feel bad for Steve at this point like, the guy just cannot catch a break this is brutal. Props to Steve for not tilting harder than the pool table on my grandfather's computer that I played when I was 4.
