    SIGN NOSEY MY FAVORITE! 💜This video was probably the first time I ever saw the signs for STEPMOM, STEPDAD. Thank you, Meredith for reminding me that I don't know everything! Much appreciated! 🤟🏽

      One thing that encouraged me in my first asl class was that many signs look like the word they represent (HEAR, COME ON, YES). It gave me confidence to learn new signs! I agree with your comment about learning new signs all the time because that's what we do 💞

    Love this video. It’s jammed packed with new signs and ones we’ve learned. I tried to sign along based on the word on the bottom and was able to start strong! A video like this with verbs/actions would really be helpful to supplement all the vocabulary and descriptive words.

    I love this channel so much! I don’t personally know anyone that is deaf, but sometimes for my youth program we would learn Christmas songs in sign and it was always so fun learning to sign when I was young. Now I want to learn to broaden my horizons and be able to communicate more! It’s also hard to talk to other with my social anxiety and sign makes it so much easier to talk!

  • @galetagudar2964
    @galetagudar2964 2 года назад +1

    Why is the sign for PASS AWAY the same as GONE in here instead of DEAD? ASL is conceptual, so it seems that DEAD would be more accurate to avoid confusion of being gone like gone to run an errand.

    • @LearnHowtoSign
      @LearnHowtoSign  2 года назад +1

      The sign pass away is how we use the word pass away instead of dead. It’s less harsh of a sign/word.

I'd like to see these in a slower video like others u have done plus it helps me remember when u explain the signs like how the sign for girl resembles how girls used to wear bonnets, etc. ❤️

    Interesting; but it would be more helpful if the pace were slowed and each sign repeated a couple of times. Also : the "musical background" is very distracting for at least this hearing person. This has the makings of a useful instructional video, but needs considerable refinement to make it really instructional, and not merely entertaining.

    Problem...We love your videos however this one is upsetting. There are a lot of children (and adults) that are shy and/or worry; you have these listed as a negative. My child saw this video when I was not in hearing distance and for weeks she felt she was a negative person due to shyness because of this video. She most deffinelty is not a negative type personality, I am thankful she told me, but I worry for others who take it to heart and feel bad about themselves! I hope you see the other side of this and make a change. Thanks.

    • @LearnHowtoSign
      @LearnHowtoSign  4 месяца назад

      Thanks for sharing. We honestly thought the same thing when creating this video and were simply trying to keep categorical classifiers consolidated and went with the typical connotation of the word shy. Shyness is certainly something that we associate our own children with and we don’t think of them as having a negative personality. We should have just dropped the + - classifier.
