As someone who lives in Montreal, I highly recommend the shoe brand called La Canadienne. They may not look like it, but they are the warmest shoes I ever had. They're also on the elegant side which is nice if you want to look a bit more put together.
I like the fact that you mentioned ‘weight fluctuations’ because I can relate! Uniqlo (maybe because they are Japanese?) are perfect for petites (not just for those who are shorter but for those with a generally petite frame). Hence the shorter hems, but I am so grateful for them. All other fashion brands rarely cater for petite people, especially when it comes to pants and coats (also thank god for The Curated!).

I’m not crazy about tights either but wear leggings like the Uniqlo leggings under maxi skirts or midi skirts with knee high boots and socks so it’s not so restrictive.

I thought i was the only person who can't do tights, i feel trapped. I need to be able to uncover my feet if i get hot but tights restrict me, i get way to hot with them, can't breathe in them. They're just not for me lol
I don’t mind being hot but for me it just feels unnatural to be completely covered with no gaps. It’s the fact that the sock bit is joined to the leg bit that gives me the shivers 😳

Hi Emma, I know that you do care about ethically sourced products. Can you please explain baby cashmere - those goats and their babies live in cold climate and that’s why the cashmere is so warm. Why baby goats have to be brushed and their wool taken away from them? How do they survive with thinner wool on them? How fast the baby goats/kids can grow back their wool? Thanks
If you would like to educate yourself more Google is a great place to start, but I would advise to make sure you read a range of articles from various sources as sometimes it’s easy to get bombarded with the high ranked PETA articles as they’re purposely heavily promoted (paid for) and aren’t always accurate. Buying any product that has come from an animal is not considered ethical because those animals are being bred for the benefit of humans. Whether it be leather, wool, silk, cashmere, meat, honey, dairy, etc etc, none of these are ethical.

Yep I wash everything myself. I have one of those machines that has a million settings so I just select the one for wool and make sure the trousers are in a garment bag, always washed cold with the lowest spin speed and with specialist wool detergent x

I suppose it comes down to personal preference but a lack of lining doesn't have a relation to the cost of a coat. I prefer unlined coats which is why I have so many of them but can't say I've ever had an issue putting them on. Each to their own though x

I’m tall with long legs like you and I’ve been on the hunt for a longer length slip skirt. I saw one on NA-KD fashion but I’ve never bought from them so I’m not sure of the quality. I’ve also got my eye on one from Leset on Net-a-Porter that I like the most because it’s a straight cut. I don’t have big hips so bias cut doesn’t work on me. I’ve ordered it in the baby pink version on sale, so when they next have a 15% off sale, I can buy the black. 🥰
I’m 5’8 with a 34 inseam and need a high waist haha. So hard to find jeans that fit right. Even when getting the long lengths. Going to have to try these cos jeans.

Hi Emma,you dont have to wash your wollen sweaters very offen,AS i wore a T- Shirt underneath i wash IT two or three Times a year....Put IT outside in fresh Air or Fog or when Temperaturen are very Low...wool has a selfcleaning- mechanism. But If you wash IT and Put IT flat on a towel IT will come Out fine..you probably did IT many Times before😅

I machine wash everything on specific settings. We’ve got one of those machines that has a million and one settings, but it’s always cold and with the lowest spin speed, I also use special wool detergent and laundry bags. It’s how I wash all my cashmere, wool, silk, anything delicate. I do have a video on how I care for wool/delicate fabrics if you’d like to see the process in more detail x
Agree I turn around if I see dry clean only. Some brands, I feel, are a but lacy and stick that label on without considering if it can be washed or not, annoying, I think. Other brands with the same materials say you can wash it on wool/silk. Great to have you back, Emma .
@Emma Hill Thanks for the response, Emma. I don't have problems with my other delicate fabrics and machine washing, so maybe I need to get out of my comfort zone and not avoid wool trousers. One more question, should I expect shrinkage? I generally need to shorten trousers, so I do normally wash before altering, just to make sure they've shrunk before I turn them up. With wool trousers I'd try not to wash them too often and air them outside between wears.
I’ve only ever had slight shrinkage with some knitwear but you really to need to reshape each piece when it comes out and dry flat but don’t dry in direct heat like in the sunlight or right next to a radiator. Drying too quickly will cause shrinkage x

I bought the brown (khaki) Alexa coat last year and the fabric is super soft and as you say the length for tall women as amazing (I’m 1,81cm) enjoy it 🤎
I haven’t but I really don’t like tights (I thought I’d expressed that in the video 🤣) so would never try them even if they were made from McDonalds fries 😘 Leggings I can wear and do wear but tights are an absolute no-way-hose 🙈

Have you looked at the Bailey wide leg pant at Pixie Market. I think it may be similar to the Pinterest one you were interested in. By the way, the slip skirt is fantastic.
I haven’t but at this point I’m looking for the 100% certain answer of the brand/designer of the trousers. If it ends up being a brand like Pixie Market then I’m screwed because their leg lengths will not fit me being an Asian wholesale brand 😕
I do own international Nike trainers, I like them but when wet outside they are very slippery, I had my accident in them where I just slipped in the middle of street 😮

Yes I have a camel one from the Curated, the bonus of this is the length. It’s considerable longer than the Curated ones which is beneficial for those who are taller like me. The fabric is also a bit thicker, not by much but you can feel the weight when it’s on x

That fk coat is not even lined!!!! Fof ghat amount money i expect my voat to be lined...it is a hassle to put them on otherwise

I always wash delicate items or dry clean on "freshen up" which is a cold wash . Most things just need a refresh so no need for 30 degrees. X

One more question, should I expect shrinkage? I generally need to shorten trousers, so I do normally wash before altering, just to make sure they've shrunk before I turn them up. With wool trousers I'd try not to wash them too often and air them outside between wears.
I’ve only ever had slight shrinkage with some knitwear but you really to need to reshape each piece when it comes out and dry flat but don’t dry in direct heat like in the sunlight or right next to a radiator. Drying too quickly will cause shrinkage x

Hi. Did you ever tried cashmere blend thights? I found them very confortable to wear with skirts in winter.
I haven’t but I really don’t like tights (I thought I’d expressed that in the video 🤣) so would never try them even if they were made from McDonalds fries 😘 Leggings I can wear and do wear but tights are an absolute no-way-hose 🙈
@@EmmaHill, yes I heard it on the video..😊 For me it's the opposite, I don't like leggings, find them thick and compressing. Cashmere thights are softer and warm. But we are all different... 😊

They don’t get shaved like sheep, it’s a combing process so they don’t lose their entire coat x

I haven’t but at this point I’m looking for the 100% certain answer of the brand/designer of the trousers. If it ends up being a brand like Pixie Market then I’m screwed because their leg lengths will not fit me being an Asian wholesale brand 😕
I do own international Nike trainers, I like them but when wet outside they are very slippery, I had my accident in them where I just slipped in the middle of street 😮

Yes I have a camel one from the Curated, the bonus of this is the length. It’s considerable longer than the Curated ones which is beneficial for those who are taller like me. The fabric is also a bit thicker, not by much but you can feel the weight when it’s on x
