To anyone reading this, I hope you’re feeling well and having a lovely day! Stay safe and remember to keep smiling in these weird times, sending lots of love from a small RUclipsr❤️ ❤️
For those wanting touchscreen gloves try looking at shooting gloves. The trigger finger folds back to allow for pulling the trigger but would work for touching the screen.they come in leather , wool and more padded versions. I think Sealand and Laksen both do them but there will be other versions.
Love the Uniqlo heat tech range!! I have a turtle neck and a thin long sleeve top that I wear non stop, worth every penny! Keeps you warm without feeling bulky and layers so nicely ❄️
I recently bought Uniqlo heat tech extra stretch legging pants, that have belt loops and pockets (just like jeans ) and they are absolutely heaven, especially when one lives in cold Canada! They look dressy enough to wear with dress or casual boots and keep the cold wind chill out! 🇨🇦
You are one of the few youtubers that I can watch videos multiple times! Such practical tips and gorgeous styling. You’ve greatly influenced my reimagined wardrobe as I go to something more practical and stylish and thoughtful. Thank you for your videos! Xoxo
Oh, I just love your videos, there is so much info and tips in every single one of them. It's like a ritual for me to grab my coffee and dive in to your channel. Love it!!!
Thanks a lot for this video Emma ! My favorite clothes are winter clothes, and i immediately bought the Flattered boots as I love this style, and the brand seems to be decent and ethic, which is very important to me (and I love that you introduce us to brands like that).
Un plaisir de te trouver ici Hélène, j'ai commencé à suivre Emma sur tes conseils et j'adore ! Je vais tout de suite regarder ta vidéo d'aujourd'hui :) ! Je te souhaite de passer une très jolie journée ! Bisous.
Winter wardrobe essentials 1 year ago. Is a Great video. The clothes are just as essential in 2022 as it was in 2021. In Canada we need numerous coats, etc. for the 4 seasons. Ummm! Actually we have drastic weather changes within the seasons so we have lots of different outerwear per season. So for me it’s great to look back at some of your older videos as well. Have a lovely day.
Thanks for the video Emma. Regarding gloves, one time while traveling I bought a pair of hand knited wool gloves that had sort of "little hats" for your fingers. LOVE THEM. You can take the tip of the glove off your thumb and finger if you need to use your hands. Loved the idea so much that I pretty much replicated the same with some of my other gloves and sewed them myself :D it is very practical!
Yes to the knit jumpers/sweaters ! Unless I'm doing housework or yardwork, I'm always in one during the colder months as they are far better insulation than sweatshirts when the temperature really drops.
I love that your style considered different weather condition, especially those really cold winter. I’m frustrated to see some bloggers wearing very thin layers with ankles displayed.
Good point, and a warm coat with heeled pumps 😳 i also always wonder if this is just for the purpose of the video or whether they actually do walk the streets like this! 😃
Muji has the best touchscreen gloves! I buy them for people every year for Christmas. Their umbrellas are the best as well - very necessary in rainy Manchester!
So excited to see every one of your videos. I'm certain that if we somehow met on the street, people would be hard pressed to tell who was who. No, wait, I'm 67. I adore your style.
I love your videos! re: touch screen gloves, I have a pair of soft supple leather gloves, they're really snug fit, and they work with my phone's touch screen really well. Maybe the trick to touch screen is something that mimics skin like a soft leather?
Love it and I saved it for later reference 😊 You really encourage us to think about our spending habits and more ethical brands. So I stopped buying things just to buy things and when something isn't as nice anymore I try to shop a replacement secondhand and from a brand I can trust.
These videos you have been posting during the crazy Christmas season are especially perfect because of your focus on long term classics and quality. Love them! So sad that Harris Wharf navy coat is sold out, I must now hope they do the same next year and/or that I can find it on Vestiaire. That silhouette is so chic and allows for layering of chunkier jumpers, and navy is such a lovely alternative to black (which I also love).
Your videos are so appreciated Emma. You have become my go to channel for quality sustainable brands. I also love your reno vlogs and travel vlogs. I am Canadian but have never been to Banff. What a TRIP that was. Have a happy season! Hello to Simon and your furry babies.
Your basics are classic, chic, and practical. It's about 24° F currently and I'm wearing a basic fleece set and my son's old Adidas (2nd hand score). Your knitwear collection is dreamy, sadly knitwear isn't practical for me and my lifestyle. Always a joy to watch your video's, Emma. ❤
The boots are super cute! Sometimes I wear gloves that have open fingers but are super warm everywhere else on the hands. lol I do have an old pair of red semi fuzzy gloves I got at Macy's years ago and they work ok. Yes, touch gloves are so hit and miss. I like the gray hat.
Touch screen gloves-> I have been using muji’s touch screen gloves for about a year and they’re warm and work well! However I feel like they pilled very quickly and I’ve had some of the treads snag, but I only really wear them outside when I have to be so it doesn’t seem like a huge issue for me
I have a pair of Ugg leather gloves that are surprisingly good for touchsceen, have had them for years! Also recently discovered that M&S Heatgen Plus is pretty comparable to Heattech Extra Warm (maybe even Ultra Warm) and has a brushed lining so is super soft. P.S. Love that "plethora" is still going strong!
Wow, I just discovered your channel. I love your stylings! I've been looking for several of these items as I wear a lot of black, and winter is so long in NY. I also got annoyed that my favorite gloves were not really working for touchscreen, so I bought some conductive thread from Etsy (US) for a few dollars on clearance and turned my cashmere gloves into super swipers! The conductive thread is silver/grey and my gloves are grey so it blends well. Black conductive thread is harder to find, but it's out there! 🖤
I also have these Flattered boots and I love them. I actually really like the laces because they are reflective which makes them very safe for walking in the dark. I moved to Estonia a few years ago, and it's the law here (and in most of the Nordic countries) that you have to wear a reflector in the winter months since it's dark most of the time. I thought it was a really nice Scandinavian feature so have the reflective laces, though I totally see how they are a bit too hiker looking. Personally, I'm not so big into the gold hardware on them, but I'll let it slide because they really are wonderful looking winter boots (even in my size 41)!
hi kayla just bought these boots too and wanted to ask which size you chose? I ordered a size 8 (true to my normal EU-Size 39) but saw after ordering that they recommend sizing up 🙈 would be great if you could let me know how you decided which size to order for you and if they fit?! thanks 🥰
@@maralisa2401 I'm usually a US 10 in boots and I ordered a 41, and they fit perfectly. They do seem to fit a bit narrow, so might be a problem for wide feet.
Just discovering the converse trend … love the look of them with casual looks and sweater dresses💕 trying to get a taupe colour 👟 Love all your fashion videos ✨☕️🇨🇦
Costco has gloves that are touchscreen. They are not wool. They are a scuba like fabric so not fancy. Amd they are not too thick. But they do work. Great video Emma! I have tons of winter stuff already because I’m always cold, but I watched this anyway. Love the loose grey hat! Have a great holiday!.
Ive got leather touch screen gloves from PRIMARK (!) and they work absolutely fine. Although, they are not the warmest being leather but I can confirm the touch screen function works 😊
Hi emma. Love your videos. Quick word about touch screen gloves I found that I needed to increase touch sensitivity on my phone to use my gloves. You should hopefully find that in your display settings on your phone. Its stopped my hands from freezing many a time. Hope it helps. Take care and stay safe x x
Try the touchscreen gloves from Barts Active... they are a men#s glove but are very great, affective and also have grip on the palms which is so so helpful!
Hi Emma, i have a pair of „Roeckl“ gloves, the „Stockholm Touch“ in black. They’re excellent quality, really comfy and the touch capability for phones works really well, imo.
Hello, I am fairly new to your channel but really enjoy it, you, Simon and the “babies”. I love your look and find it inspiring and relatable even though i am in my sixties. Have turned my sister and a few friends onto you already. Have not seen anything new from you in a bit so I hope all is well and that you create some new stuff soon. Happy New Year! My name is Frances but my husband and many friends call me Fifi. 💕
Thank you Fifi. Yes we are all good. Had a little break over Christmas but are back to it now and hopefully the next video will be up Sunday all being well. ❤️
I’m still feeling the influence of your responsible shopping video. I’m reading Fashionopolis after first reading Lauren Bravo. I’m thinking about the new year and whether I could manage a year just buying second hand. Thanks for the nudge x
Another good video Emma. 2 ways to wear a beanie hat as Im the one who looks like a garden gnome so will try the long version now. Furry shoe / boot liners never thought of them as warmth ? I would have used before if footwear were too big. I use the feather down lightweight coat/jacket liner from Uniqlo under my leather jackets as gives me the extra warmth needed on a cold day.
I got a pair of touchscreen gloves from Topshop last year and they’ve been great, I also have never had a problem using my phone with leather gloves, but obviously not animal friendly x
I got some which I swop around with my Emu's and put into other shoes/boots as necessary, they are perfect and as its natural sheepskin, no sweaty feet.
I bought the long puffer coat from arket last week and I've had to send it back. I got a small and it was massive(I'm a size 12). I checked the sizing beforehand? Anyway I will definitely get it a size smaller because it was lovely
Merry Christmas to you, your husband and all the cute doggies Emma. I was one of the people who wondered where you went to-I was so happy to see you back on RUclips Thanks for all the great content 👍🥰⭐️🎄

Love this! So useful. I don't live in very cold climate any more, but it does get very very windy so I will definitely need to look up undercoats. On the side note, unrelated, please, and not just now with this situation, pleas don't palm the soles of your shoes! So many style / fashion youtubers do this or they out them on the bed and I just don't get it!
@@EmmaHill I didn’t realize they are warm converse sorry! I thought it was very strange 😆 yes the leather ones with warm insoles must be ok for the London winter 👌
Madewell sells a good pair of wool touch screen gloves that do work but unfortunately I have small hands so I constantly have to scrunch them to fit or use the touch screen feature but anyone that fit normal size gloves should give them a try
We have very little true winter weather but we do have cold rainy days. I realized what I really needed was a great pair of rubber boots that looked a bit more fashionable. So I found a pair of shiny black ones that are almost patent looking. With my puffer or even trench they look so cute. But I wonder if I should carry a pair of shoes in my bag to change into once I’m inside. Do you change or do you just leave your boots on?
It would really depend where I was going and how comfy you feel wearing them. I don't always take a change with me and am happy to wear them all day, especially in more casual environments 👍❤️
Emma, I always get so much out of your vlog's! Sorry I haven't commented much lately, Xmas this this year has drained me. You always give such a great perspective on everything. "You can let it flap off the back, like, I don't know, like a little garden gnome" this killed me! I love how you don't take these things more seriously than you should! These may be difficult times, and you probably won't see this, but if you do, please know that there are a bunch of strangers around the world that genuinely like you. That's gotta count fora teeny, tiny something :)
hi emma, I can recommend the touch range of leather gloves by german brand roeckl. am already on my second pair and they work really well on phones and public touch screens. all the best :)
I’m embarrassed to say how many puffer coats I have, for a San Franciscan, especially. Mine are not heavy-duty, and all but one is a short jacket-length. I just love the lightweight warmth and I wear them a lot on cold nights and mornings, when it does get to 30-40F. Having survived the hot and sweaty 40s and 50s, at age 60 I’m feeling the cold again (you younger gals will learn all about this, eventually), and I am enjoying building a wardrobe of sweaters again, but mostly lightweight ones, again.
I love how you promote sustainability, practicality and elegant fashion at the same time. All outfits featured are elegant and chic :)
I ENJOYED WATCHING this video. But I love UNIQLO brands winter cloths, I just made a video about my fav products!

I love how you don't take these things more seriously than you should!
These may be difficult times, and you probably won't see this, but if you do, please know that there are a bunch of strangers around the world that genuinely like you. That's gotta count fora teeny, tiny something :)
Thank you ❤️
I remember seeing one of your videos where you recommended a spray to protect suede shoes. Can you please remind me which video please?
I have mentioned it in a few videos but the most recent would be my wardrobe kit video a couple of weeks back 👍
Thank you! Super helpful.
hi emma, I can recommend the touch range of leather gloves by german brand roeckl. am already on my second pair and they work really well on phones and public touch screens. all the best :)
Thanks Emma, great presentation ❤️❤️❤️
simple and easy/ Useful till 2022
Good morning 🖤 so excited for this video! Have a nice day 🖤
Would love you to try the djerf avenue brand! It is sustainable and suits your style i think!! 😍
I have heard of them but I think the sizing caters more to petite and not so much for taller gals like me. ❤️
Love those boots!
Thanks Emma for this very informative video and lot of tipps!
Hi Emma, in West Yorkshire it’s winter since beginning of November, your lucky you live in the South. XX
If the wool insoles make your shoes too tight, if possible, remove the sole which came with your shoe!
When will Arket finally ship to the US :’(
Just commented about lack of Arket in US!!
Isn’t it annoying? They are missing out on the world’s largest apparel market, and we miss them.
forever wishing and waiting for arket to ship to the US! 😭
👍🏼 Good to know about clothes to keeping Warm 😉
