These small appliances only use 350 watts and are great for cooking in small spaces. They are great for RV cooking, van cooking, car cooking, dorm cooking, hotel room cooking, office cooking, etc. They are small, portable, and light weight so they are easy to travel with. They are also excellent prepping gear. Since they only use 350 watts and cook very fast, they can be easily run off of a generator or solar power station.

I've been happier with the 8" Dash griddle for most sandwich type things, but the small Dash griddle is great for portion control or small snacks. 👍

An english muffin fits perfectly for a grilled cheese. I did that yesterday with the inside part of the muffin facing the grill to get the crispy crust.
Most hamburger buns fit perfectly as well.
The mini Dash is great for Uncrustables or English muffins. I’ve also been pretoasting my breads lately for all grilled cheese on any of these devices.

I use white bread and much more cheese. I press the edges with a fork and vent the top. Don't press with pressure, turn half-way.
I get awesome cheese filled pies.

I have the Dash sandwich maker which I really like. Will try using my Dash mini griddle for a cheese sandwich next time. We butter the outside of the bread on both sides.
I use my egg bite maker and it's awesome....browns on both sides and no butter needed.
I use the egg bite maker for sandwiches too. And fish filets, mozzarella sticks, fried eggs (less risky with the higher edge), biscuits, hot dogs, etc. It's amazing!

Yum I’m sipping my coffee on a Monday morning. Boy does that grilled cheese sandy look good! That will be my dinner with soup.
I only have the mini dash waffle maker but I think it would also make a great grilled cheese. I will try it tonight. I also can use my small George Foreman grill for sandwiches. I just discovered that I have a dollar package of a Betty Crocker muffin mix that will be my next try out. I will see how well I can make a little fruit flavored waffle. I will be getting at least one other dash mini's before too long. I don't need 4 or 5 different machines, but a griddle sounds very useful!

You can use mayo in place of butter to toast bread on a griddle. I generally use American Cheese for grill cheese sandwiches because of how well it melts.
I did a amp check for the power draw from this unit and from what I found, I'm donating it. This is a POWER HOG !!!!!!
It uses 350 watts. Not a power hog at all.
I grill one side lightly first then assemble the sandwich for grilling with the initial grilled sides on the insides. Helps with melting and completely grilled cheese.

Will use my waffle maker that also has removable sandwich plates. I am beyond grateful for electric stove and oven, but I have much more fun with my toys.
I’ve never heard of butter on the INSIDE of a grilled sandwich before🤔(Floridian). We’ve always buttered the outside, though. I knew someone from Wisconsin that spread her cheese sandwich with bacon fat though. And someone from Michigan that spread butter on the inside of their summer sausage sandwich. I wonder if it’s a northern thing to use butter or bacon fat instead of mayo🤷♀️. My gma lived with us and she was from NC and she sopped her bread in the bacon drippings and ate it but no one else in our family did that. I love my minis🎉! Have a great day!

I have my Dash table top griddle. I find two eggs together turn out better than just one. I have gotten used to it and like how quick it cooks these eggs.
I am waiting on an Elite 7 hard boiled egg cooker and electric stir fry skillet/griddle to arrive Can't wait to see how they do!
