      I like making the white bread chuffle. But adding seasoning. Seeds and using it for eggs ir tuna or burger buns.
      I did add chocolate baking powder and stevia.. made a some fruit mixed with whipping cream..made a fruit "ice cream" sandwich.
      Still trying to think of other ideas 🤣

    I found my mini-Dash at the local St. Vincent DePaul Thrift Store for only $3! That same day I also scored a Cuisinart waffle iron for a mere $5. Neither of these appliances appeared to have been used so it was a great day! I'm going to try all the recipes! I bought a recipe book while visiting Lehman's Hardware, in the heart of Amish country in central Ohio, that features a lot of neat ideas for waffle creations, too. It's like using the waffle iron like a panini press! What fun! My favorite is using savory stuffing to make a 'bread' for sandwiches or as a neat side dish. I also use my mini to create my own "Eggo's". They freeze great and are a lot less expensive than the ones from the store.

      Love the stuffing idea!!! And you got a great deal on your Dash! I LOVE Amish country! I grew up near an Amish country in NY. Loved going to their stands.

      Not competing, but I found my mini-waffle maker new in-the-box for $2 at my local thrift shop. These recipes look great, and such a nice change from just toasting sandwiches. Two nights ago I cooked cake batter with pineapple, brown sugar, butter, and marichino cherry, to make a mini pineapple-upsidedown-cake.

      Hi there! No, if you signed up for WW, I would suggest only doing the points. I only share calories because I have some nutrients I have to keep track of for my doctor, and plus I share calories because a lot of my viewers don't do WW, so since I track them, I share them. But no, WW does the science for you so there's really no need to log calories too. Hope that helps. :)

      Absolutely. I actually just had a doctor's appointment and I am in my best health - lab work has all improved substantially. I don't do WW or count calories anymore. I'm following the 80/20 rule now and learning to just listen to my body. Health doesn't show up in someone's outward appearance. Someone can be thin but not be healthy. ;)

      @PlanningUsHealthy  2 года назад +4

      @@honeybadger... What does healthy mean to you? I'm asking that as a genuine question because I'm always wanting to learn more and hear different points of view. I am 50 years old and post-menopausal but have still lost about 50 pounds so far. However, after I took my nutrition class, I started learning about intuitive eating from two registered dieticians (one who specializes in gut health since I've had UC for 19 years - diagnosed when I was considered "normal weight", but by no means was I healthy at that time). That's when I decided I didn't want to focus on points or calories anymore, but just listen to my body. The thinking is that when you listen to your body and eat for health, the weight loss will come naturally as a side effect (at a slower pace than some people care for though). But I am open to learning all I can learn from anyone.

    • @honeybadger...
      @honeybadger... 2 года назад

      @@PlanningUsHealthy thank you for a genuine response! Healthy is a balance of positive thinking and positive doing..we're taught to allow others(professionals) think for us and that instills a false belief that our own knowledge and intelligence is limited. I was in a place where I lived paycheck to paycheck and getting help from a health professional was inconceivable, hearing people around me talk about medical bills - turned out a blessing in disguise, because at 38 I began limping and the alternative offered was a surgery. It was precisely that attempt to limit my experience by a doctor that pushed me to find a way to health and I began experimenting by balancing food groups. I went 4 months without processed food, everything whole, natural or lean. Then, I went vegetarian for a week and exactly a week later I finally understood that only combination of plant-based, unprocessed food can cleanse and properly fuel our body to clear mind, energize the body and decrease stress, organically - no doctors, dieticians, neighbors, friends, social media, news can replace your innate ability to derrive common sense. Common sense that animal fat does not dissolve in water, but plant fat(i.e. avocadoes) does...imagine-people use detergents to wash the fat from the plates offl, but we don't chase our meals with detergent to wash the fat that cloggs up our arteries and covers our organs. People think of food as entertainment instead of fuel to energize - it became a drug, therefore to rid ourselves of the physical addiction we can learn what we eat, why we eat that and how we eat it on our own. The unnderstanding of food and eating has to happen in you first, only if all else fails you can turn for help of a professional, but once you create a spark and desire to be healthy, wow...I guarantee it is a life changing experience, because using your mind and intuition is genuine, rewarding and absolutely free!

      @PlanningUsHealthy  2 года назад +3

      Hi there! I'm sorry you feel my title is misleading. That was definitely not my intent. I do not believe in "clickbait" titles at all. That's why I did not use the word keto anywhere, nor did I put the word chaffles at the beginning of the title. I put dash waffle maker ideas, using the word waffle. I then put chaffles and more, meaning chaffles were one of the things I made, plus others. I certainly did not mean to imply at all that these were all keto-type recipes, as my channel content is not keto at all.
