I'm here for the recipe/device testing!
Ok, if you end up with too many waffles, you can always freeze them. Think of it as making your own Eggos's.
Also, pancake/waffle batter is best with minimal mixing. You WANT lumps in it. Seriously. Just like with muffin mix.
You can also pour the batter into an ice tray, freeze it, pop out the batter cubes, and store in the freezer in a ziplock. When you want a waffle, set out one or two cubes to thaw and cook it in the Dash.
It's a very common part of the learning curve to over-fill a waffle maker (of ANY size) and have the waffle batter spill all over while cooking. I mean, even experienced cooks do this, especially when working with a new waffle maker.

I would freeze the extra waffles and then put them in the toaster like Eggo waffles.

I've done that before too. I wouldn't worry have throughly cooked it was (just enough) since I'd feeese them, then place it in the toaster in the morning and turns out well cooked and crispy. 🧇

Oh you should of done an omlet in there or some Quesadas or a waffle shaped buritos?...what about a waffle pie or waffles made from bananas? Gosh the possibilities!

I love this thing! If you spray both sides or the waffle with cooking spray after it’s done and put the lid back down it crisps them up

I always slightly undercooked the extras and then freeze them. I cook them in the toaster oven when I’m ready to eat them. Sometimes I’ll make a lot of extra, because it’s so easy to reheat them later.

FYI even though it's slightly off subject, I used to do this with French toast. I don't remember when I learned it but I know I was using it by the time I had my second daughter in 1979. Make up French toast out of a bunch of eggs and a whole loaf of bread, Cook them and freeze them. I liked cooking them in butter because it gave them a better flavor. Then you freeze them and they don't stick together very much because of the oil or butter. Just pull them out a couple at a time and pop them in the toaster for an instant breakfast. I made a bunch of these before I had my second daughter which is why I remember the year and it helped feed me without outside help.

Thanks for doing your test over a period of time, it lends some validity to your review. The dash waffle maker is delightfully easy to clean when batter runs amuck, or you use cheese. For me that goes a long way to making it a worthy purchase. The product does fall down on the crispy factor unless you leave the waffles in longer than called for, or pop them in an oven or air fryer to keep warm while you make more. Lol, it is a handy (fun) little gadget that can earn it's keep. Your review was a pleasure to watch.

Really enjoyed watching your video, very natural and fun! I have two waffle makers and enjoy experimenting with all types of creations. Have you ever tried stuffed waffles? I have a Power XL Waffelizer that's a lot of fun. My first day I made a scrambled egg and cheese stuffed waffle for breakfast and a cheeseburger stuffed waffle for supper. Tomorrow, I making a stuffed waffle using chocolate cake batter filled with sliced strawberries and bit of a Milky Way bar, then topped with chocolate syrup and whipped cream with a side of vanilla ice cream. The sky is the limit! Have fun!

Recieved my walffle maker yesturday and made the Classic recipe. I used a bit less than 1/4th cup of batter and the best test for crispyness was 4 minutes per waffle. Tiny bit of overflow working til I got it right produced 7 waffles. Extras can be frozen or put in fridge.

Was super hesitant to buy this product. I love waffles, they are my favorite but I don’t have room nor really want to spend on a full sized waffle maker. Your video has helped me make my decision and I will be getting one of these for myself. It seems to work well enough to satisfy my waffle needs. Thank you!

Every year I seem to pick one gift that all my gift recipients for that year get. This year, it’s this waffle maker and the mini griddle as well - 2 for $20 on Amazon.
Anyway, finding this video is what really sealed the deal for me. And others too, but mostly this one. It looks so darn FUN!
I loved watching you make everything; even when you made mistakes, you learned, and taught us how to not make the same mistakes.
I hope you’re still enjoying your mini waffle maker!
Oh yes, I also got this for myself this year, and am very much looking forward to seeing what these gadgets can do.
Maybe this time I’ll be able to make a grilled cheese sandwich without burning the cheese and the fire department being called (long story).
Anyway yes, thank you for the video.
PS: maybe you could put the extra batter in the fridge and use it the next time/day?
Or is that not how batter works?

Fold them over the handle of a wooden spoon. Lie the spoon across a large bowl Drape the waffles over the spoon handle and let them hang until cool. Oil the Dash if you want crispy.

I use a mix and for 2 waffles, I use 1/3 cup mix, 1 tablespoon oil or melted butter and water for pancake consistency (I don't measure the water).

everything in this video was so helpful and nicely presented. Just got a lil waffle maker like that one. It was so easy to veganize your recipes too. Instead of milk i used plant milk, instead of egg I made flax egg. You can make them oil free too by replacing the oil/butter with unsweetened applesauce.

Instead of bread, I'd use mini wheats tortillas for the grilled cheese... But then it would basically be a quesadilla!! Not mini wheats but mini, wheat flavored tortillas. (dang spellcheck)
