This was the first song I ever heard from SlipKnot. I’d never felt like they were for me. But when I heard Psychosocial I was BLOWN AWAY! I’ve been in the SK rabbit hole ever since.
I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of watching non-metalheads react to slipknot. I love your take away thoughts on how your expectations were subverted. Metal in general has SO MANY textures and sounds. There’s endless new kinds of expression buried in the absurd amount of metal/hardcore sub-genres. Based on your love of Rush, I really think you would enjoy some between the buried and me! -The Coma Machine -Selkies: The Endless Obsession -Voice of Trespass -Astral Body Any of these would be up your alley. Cheers!
My kids shared so much music with me as I watched them grow. Slipknot shook the walls a few weekends 🤣 I had to put up a sign. No moshing in the house 🤣
I saw them play this live in 2009 right after the album came out and right as the first chorus came up, "And the rain will kill us all," it started POURING rain down and the crowd went fucking BESERK it was so killer
So happy to see you reacting to Slipknot. Please review snuff. It is the most beautiful song and the most depressing song at the same time. I know you love to hear people sing with emotion and nobody does it better than Corey Taylor. I seem to have a thing for masked men, Slipknot and sleep token are my two favorite bands
@@Z.E.S.W.O.R lol do really feel that way or just trolling. I'm not the biggest slipknot fan, they have some shitty songs. but in my oppinion snuff live unplugged is a great performance, Corey Taylor...
Listen, as someone who is now 31 I grew up listening to Heavy metal, punk, rock etc and so this song has always been in my life...i believe it came out in 2008 when i was still in high school. And alot of people my age hold the same opinion they did then, which is i duno that slipknot are scary or just a bunch of dudes screaming and it just warms my heavy metal heart to see people give them a chance
I've been to a lot of concerts and Slipknot is my favorite band to see live - the performance is non-stop high energy and pretty much amazing.. also the drum solos live is the best!
Someone is turning into a metalhead, haha. Been enjoying your videos for a while, and not so long ago I don't think you would have appreciated this as much as you did. You've come such a long way and broadened you music taste so much. And I'm here for it! Great reaction!!
Yeah this is when Joey Jordison was drumming for them. One of the best heavy metal drummers IMO. Have you seen the footage of him drumming upside down? It's sick.
You were SO CLOSE to making an amazing quote "i thought id need therapy after listening to this song" i was waiting for the perfect follow up: "this song IS therapy" lol
I'm kinda partial to their song "If rain is what you want" , It's 10 years old but timeless to me. Let the music move you. You enjoy, we'll watch you react...
The “machine gun” part you mentioned is what’s called a breakdown in metal music and ironically, the first one ever was in ‘One’ by Metallica, and was intentionally done to sound like a machine gun.
Hello neighbor. Also glad to see this road you're on. I watch all your vids, and can see that you definitely have one of the most honest reactions of most of the reaction vids. Thank you man. From one human to another; keep it up and keep having fun. Much love man. 💯
Absolutely, boss! Songs like this pair incredibly well with big, stompy mech games. More of a Mechwarrior/Battletech guy myself, but I can see Twisted Metal fitting along just fine. There is even at least one machine in Battletech with speakers mounted so as to blast music as it rains death on the battlefield. 90 tons of aggression with jump jets so the last thing an enemy pilot sees is the bottom of your machine's feet.
Went to Breaking Benjamin and Staind concert last night with my son. His first concert and my first in probably 30 years. Awesome show. It’s been awhile by Staind is one of my all time favorite songs. I would love to hear a reaction.
Its a lot A LOT harder than youre used to but you should check out Slaughter To Prevail. Alex Terrible has imhumane vocals and The drummer is so damn good!
Glad you liked it. If I can suggest as a follow up, there is a great mashup of this song with Justin Timberlake by William Mariucci with an alt title ot PsychoBack. It's a great example of how genres can be combined.
What to do next??? Fates Warning...one of the founding bands of the progressive metal genre that never really got the attention that their talent deserved. So many great songs to choose from, and vocal stylings of the two great singers that they've had...John Arch and Ray Alder. You could react to Kyrie Elesion, a song that was on the movie soundtrack for "The River's Edge"...or, Guardian (my favorite song by them). Or, choose something newer, with Ray Alder singing...any song from the No Exit album.
Slipknot SPIT IT OUT LIVE @ DOWNLOAD 2009. ALSO CHECK OUT STONE SOUR ITS SLIPKNOTS FRONT MAN COREY TAYLOR'S OTHER BAND. THE SONG EVERYONE KNOWS IS CALLED LOOKING AT YOU THROUGH THE GLASS
I thought you had already reacted to this. Check Pulse of the Maggots. Doesnt have an official video but the song is incredible and the lyrics hit home in todays world.
Usually I get frustrated when RUclips reactors pause too much. Your pausing didn’t bother me because you were listening to everything. Love this vid my guy. Hope you continue to do more slipknot. Should checkout spit it out live at download 2009. Think you would love the live version
Long overdue bro. Slipknot at the top of their game for sure. I can't help myself...you haven't reacted to "Jurassic/Cretaceous" from The Ocean. IT WILL BLOW YOUR MIND, SON. Even if you don't check it out, I'll still listen and follow you. :)
Cowboys from hell, walk, pantera. People equal shit, slipknot. Ace of spades, Motörhead. Master of puppets, Metallica. Down with the sickness, Disturbed.
Fellow Tool fan here Polo. You NEED to dig into the Slipknot catalog. Based on what you like, I would recommend attacking it with their most recent album first and work backward.
Once you've listened to the regular Spit It Out music video, you should check out the Live at Download 2009 Spit It Out.... I feel like you'll enjoy all of their stuff though. Some of the videos are disturbing..... You may also like System of a Down BYOB is a good one to start with... Most importantly, have fun!

Same, but to be fair I feel the same way about metal head reactors hearing conscious rap for the first time

Wholeheartedly agree. Snuff is one of his best, and most heartfelt, and most depressing. You nailed it hon. 👍
He already did
Yeah snuff is my favorite, used to come out to slipknot on Xbox with the customizable intro music.
Snuff is there worst song and they got a lot of shit tracks

First up tonight. Also this is the first Slipknot song I listened to several years ago. They have a lot of quality music.
I've been to a lot of concerts and Slipknot is my favorite band to see live - the performance is non-stop high energy and pretty much amazing.. also the drum solos live is the best!
Ironically I'm wearing a Slipknot shirt today, gotta love Slipknot❤ You can JAM them in the 4 runner😁
Listen to slipknot since they began, and it’s cool to see other people see the beauty in it
I love that you have such an open mind to music. Keep going my friend, the wheelhouse is endless.
One of the best reactors out there, great audio quality, not “wordy”, well versed, and always choosing dope songs.

absolute facts. was incredible to watch for the first time
Nobody will ever beat The Rev for me, but Joey is a very close second on the list

Metal's secret weapon. The double kick.
Hendrix set the bar decades before in "Machinegun"

Holy moly Polo pushing on that envelope hard. Yeah, those drums are addictive.👽👍

Was up front in the pit to see Slipknot in Columbus, Ohio this past May. They are phenomenal!
Wah😢 I'm between Iowa and you. Not near a major city, you lucky duck😊

Slipknot IS mental - health - therapy.
I think you would love their newer song Neo Forte if you love the drums and mixed vocals here :D
nero forte and sulfer they both bangers 🤟🤟
nice boys from Iowa
For sharing musics sake, I would highly advise the group Arcade Fire. I especially like the song culture war this week.
"SNUFF" Really good, slowed down. Or, THE DEVIL AND I. Both great songs!!
UNSAINTED is my favourite song of theirs... funnily enough it would make a great Eminem song.
Listen to the album "Iowa" start-to-finish
