I am on my second AWD Astrovan. I'd buy and will buy another if I find a good one. My 1st had over 270k when I blew the rear end towing my John Deere tractor, I still have my 04 that runs great, the best thing I like about them is the AWD will get you home in the snow. I had to take 4 guys up into the woods, up a dirt road, uphill, in snow that they in their big ass chevy 4x4 king cabs, jeep, Bronco, and an old SR5 toyota x-cab 4x4 coldn't make it. I was pushing snow with the bumper and drove up like I was in 2 inches of snow with it was more like 14 inches. There is something about the van size, weight, wheel base and their AWD that just keeps going. My first one had 51k when I bought it, 270+k when I sold it with a bad rear. My 04 had 64k and has 109k and still like new. But I want a backup seeing they stopped making in 05
Wow! From what I've read 350k isn't unheard of. Many miles to come for me! Unfortunatly mines not AWD. It's rear wheel drive. Almost all of the AWD were full vans and I was really wanting the cargo aspect of it. Thanks for watching buzzsah!
Thanks! The motorcycle won't fit inside the van unless the wheels are off. But that's too much work. I have a hitch hauler and I just roll the bike on it and strap it down. These vans had 1 flaw other than the roof height. You couldn't fit a full 4x8 sheet of ply wood in them which unfortunately made them unusable for some tradesmen.
But now it's been 3 years... Can you do an update? You have a GREAT presenter's voice. You're going to do very well.

("New sub")
Is this a regular or extended version?
that's a great idea, you did a very neat job of wiring, do you put your motorcycle in the van in between the bed and cabinet?

@@Keith1212 you answered my question... Where the bike would be 😂. The bike is 48.5" tall and inside the van is only 49". I didn't know that. 😎
@@kevinnashskitchen3517 yep and vans with more head room go up in price considerably around me and the astro can be had for pennies lol
@@Keith1212 I'm thinking of a 5 or 6 year old Ford Transit Medium height Regular length. 👍
i thought angled roof rack could help charging solar panels? ... i havent really looked it up
