Well planed on the batteries/setup. I don't remember if I showed my Astro, but I have a 50 watt solar plane on the roof with a 100amp battery switch, so I can have it charge with solar, or switch to the vehicle and charge off the alternator. It sounds like you are doing the same, except I only have 1 battery, a group 31 HD deepcyc with 185 amp hrs/reserve. The van is coming along and should server you fine.
I don't remember seeing it but I would love to check it out. I would also like to get a battery isolator which would charge my normal car batter and when its charged it will switch to the "house" battery and charge it till full and swap back. About $89 for a kit. It also allows you to start the vehicle off either batter in case of an emergency. 185 amp hours is huge! that would last quite awhile for my needs haha
